Taking to social media platform X, the franchise issued a polite yet firm request asking fans not to bring political banners, flags, or hoardings into the stadium during the IPL fixture.
“Anbuden request our superfans to avoid bringing banners, flags, or hoardings associated with any political party/person and enjoy the game with full Yellove,” the franchise posted.

The message quickly gained traction online, with many supporters appreciating the franchise’s effort to maintain a festive cricket atmosphere during one of the most significant political moments in recent Tamil Nadu history.
The overlap between Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony and the IPL fixture has naturally generated huge public attention. Both CSK and Vijay enjoy unmatched popularity in Tamil Nadu, and the possibility of political symbolism entering the stadium environment was always likely to become a talking point.
