This news came shortly after Rohit’s remarkable feat in the T20I series against Afghanistan, where he smashed his fifth T20 international century, becoming the first player ever to achieve this milestone.

Rohit opens up about his future plans

Rohit has emphatically quashed any notions of imminent retirement, citing his current peak form. He has expressed a fervent desire to extend his playing career for several more years. His primary objective remains le??ading India to World Cup glory, but acknowledging the uncertainties of the future, he has also set his sights on guiding the team to victory in the forthcoming WTC final scheduled for 2025.

“I haven’t really thought about retirement. But, I don’t know where life takes you. I am still playing well at this point in time – so I am thinking I am going to continue for a few more years and then, I don’t know. I really want to win the World Cup and there is a WTC final in 2025, hopefully India makes it,” said Rohit on Gaurav Kapoor’s show.
