Both teams scored 176 runs in their respective 20 overs, and the game went to the Super Over. But who knew that even the Super Over would tie? Well, it did happen, thanks to the brilliant bowling display by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami.

It was Chris Gayle and Mayank Agarwal who finished the 11-run chase for KXIP in the second S??uper Over with 2 balls to spare.

“Yeah okay. It is not the first time. But we don’t want to make a habit out of it. We will take the two points in the end. It doesn’t always happen the way you plan so you don’t really know how to stay balanced. I was just hoping we get over the line because the boys have been working really really hard. In the games that we have lost, even then we have played well and just not been able to get over the line. After wicketkeeping for 20 overs, I knew the first six overs were crucial. The wicket was slightly slower so it was important for us to get runs in the Powerplay,”  KXIP skipper KL Rahul said at the post-ma??tch presentation ceremony.

“I knew Chris and Pooran. I trust them to take down spinners. So Chris coming in has made my job easier as a batter. You can never prepare for Super Overs. No team does. Mumbai Indians (MI) registered their second victory in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 after they defeated Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 48 runs at Sheikh Zayed ?Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

Mi skipper Rohit Sharma, power-striker Kieron Pollard and all-rounder Hardik Pandya excelled with the bat as they posted 191/4 on the board, collecting 89 in the last five overs.

In reply, the KL Rahul-led side could only reach 143/8 in their allotted 20 overs. It was KXIP’s third loss in IPL 2020 out of their four matches.

After the game, Hardik showered praiseworthy comments on his brother Krunal as the left-arm spinner played a crucial role in Mumbai Indians’ triumph. The win has now taken defending champions to the top spot in the points table.

on Wednesday, a ball turned out lucky for Hardik Pandya as it raced to the boundary after hitting the stumps. During the IPL clash between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab at the Wankhede stadium, Hardik was lucky to evade a dismissal as bails didn’t get dislodged despite the ball hitting the stumps.

The game witnessed a lot of twists and turns and also a lot of entertainment on the field. There were a lot of actions in both the innings. The Indian offie bowled a slower delivery as de Kock charged down the track and looked to clear the fence by playing an inside out shot. The timing of the shot was right and it was perfectly executed from the middle of the bat.
