Former Australia batter Simon Katich has parted ways with the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) less than tw??o months before t?he tournament kicks-off in Mumbai.

According to a report in InsideSport, Katich’s decision is sparked by the calls taken by SRH co-owner Kaviya Maran at the recently-concluded IPL auction.

West Indies wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran was bought for Rs 10.75 lakhs despite having a horrendous season for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the UAE, while his teammate Romario Shepherd, who has not featured in a single IPL game, was signed up for Rs 7.75 lakhs. Notably, all the calls at the auction table were taken by Kaviya, with cricket legends in form of Brian Lara, Muttiah Muralitharan, Tom Moody, and Katich himself being mere spectators.

Well, this is not the first incident where the Sunrisers management has come under scrutiny. They sacked Aussie star David Warner from captaincy in the middle of the tournament in IPL 2021 and were heavily criticised for their decision by cricket p?undits and SRH fans. Not only this ?much, SRH also dropped Warner from their playing XI in the later stages of the competition.

Since last season, Trevor Bayliss and Brad Haddin have also resigned from their coaching job.

For the upcoming IPL, SRH have recruited Simon Helmot as assistant coach. Helmot, 50, was previously part of the Hyderabad’s coaching staff from 2012 to 2019. He also coached Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) to the CPL title in 2015.

Kane Williamson will be leading the team in IPL 2022.

Sunrisers Hyderabad squad:

Kane Williamson (c), Umran Malik, Abdul Samad, Washington Sundar, Nicholas Pooran, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Priyam Garg, Rahul Tripathi, Abhishek Sharma, Kartik Tyagi, Shreyas Gopal, Jag??adeesha Suchith, Aiden Markram, Marco Jansen, Romario Shepherd, Sean Abbott, R Samarth, Shashank Singh, Saurabh Dubey, Vishnu Vinod, Glenn Phillips, Fazalhaq Farooqi.

betvisa888IPL 2022 Auction – Cricket Times - betvisa888 live //betvisa68.com/2022/02/ipl-2022-simon-doull-explains-why-csk-didnt-pick-suresh-raina-at-the-mega-auction/ Wed, 16 Feb 2022 15:43:13 +0000 //betvisa68.com/?p=62186

One of the biggest talking points after the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction was veteran batter Suresh Raina going unsold. Raina, known as ‘Mr IPL’, played his major part in Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise over the years. However, the Ghaziabad-bor?n was not picked by the four-time champions at the bidding event.

Raina had a poor campaign ??in the previous season of the cash-rich league, which turned out to be the key r??eason why no franchise went for him in the auction. This will be the first time in the history of IPL when Raina would not be representing any team.

Notably, the 35-year-old has been one of the most successful batters and consistent run-getter in the IPL. In 205 matches, Raina has amassed 5528 runs and is the fourth-highest run-scorer. He has also played an instrumental role in CSK’s success over the years.

Speaking about the red-hot topic amongst the fans, former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull reckoned that Raina has lost CSK and skipper MS Dhoni’s loyalty due to an incident in 2020, and that’s why the Super Kings didn’t bid for ‘Chinna Thala’.

Raina had pulled out of the 2020 season just a few days ahead of the start of the tournamen?t in UAE, citing personal reasons. However, some reports had claimed that the CSK star had a rift with the team management. Raina missed out the entire season, and the Super Ki??ngs failed to make it to the playoffs.

“There are 2 to 3 parts to it. He lost his loyalty in the UAE. We don’t need to go into why that was, but you know there’s enough speculation about that, so he lost the loyalty. Of all the team, he lost the loyalty of MS Dhoni. So once you do that, you are very, very unlikely to be welcomed back. He’s not fit, and he is scared of the short ball,” Doull was quoted as saying to Cricbuzz.

The West Indies players are always in demand whenever the Indian Premier League (IPL) auctions take place. Something similar was on display during the recently-concluded mega-auction of the upcomin??g 2022 season of the cash-rich league.

As many as 14 West Indies players were roped in by the different franchises to join the already retained Caribbean stars such as Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell. Among the total 17 Windies players, explosive batter Nicholas Pooran bagged the biggest contract.

Despite a dreadful campaign in the previous season of the lucrative tournament, Pooran was highly in demand when his name came in the two-day bidding event held in Bengaluru. The wicketkeeper-batter triggered the bidding war amongst franchises where Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) e??ventually won th??e battle and acquired his services for a whopping INR 10.75 crore.

Overjoyed by his heavy bid, Pooran, who is currently w??ith the West Indies squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against India, threw a pizza party for his teammates inside the bio-bubble. Notably, the Trinidadian o?rdered as many as 15 pizzas that cost him INR 15,000.

“Since outside food is not allowed, he (Nicholas Pooran) placed the order at the hotel chef for 15 pizzas,” the local manager told PTI, as quoted by Times of India.

“It needed to be vetted by a qualified chef. Since it’s a strict grade one bio-bubble, we have to tell the food temperature and how it is sanitised, and then only it goes to the room. There were a total of 15 pizza boxes, and everything was sanitised before being delivered to the room. The player had to make the payment,” added the manager.

After being picked by the Sunrisers, Pooran expressed his gratitude towards the Cricket West Indies (CWI) for laying the foundation of his career.

“I’m very thankful. I can’t wait for that journey to begin. But before that journey begins, I just want to give thanks to Cricket West Indies for laying the foundation for my career, and I hope a lot of youngsters get that opportunity as well,” said Pooran as quoted by CWI.

betvisa888 betIPL 2022 Auction – Cricket Times - betvisa888 casino //betvisa68.com/2022/02/csk-ceo-kasi-viswanath-reveals-why-franchise-didnt-bid-for-suresh-raina-at-ipl-2022-auction/ Wed, 16 Feb 2022 04:25:43 +0000 //betvisa68.com/?p=62171

204 players were sold and INR 5,51,70,00,000 was splurged amongst the ten franchises during the two-day Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auction in Bengaluru last week.

The mega-auction, however, saw a lot of surprises, with many prominent names going unsold including former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Suresh Raina. Fans of the MS Dhoni-led side were shocked to see Rain??a not being picked in the squad, despite many power-packed performances for the team in IPL as well as the Champions League (CL) Twenty20.

The 2011 World Cup winner ??represented CSK from 2008 to 2015 in his first stint. Once again, he played for the Yellow Army from 2018 to 2021. He is the fourth-??highest run-scorer in IPL history with 5,528 runs in 205 games. The southpaw registered 4,687 runs alone for CSK.

Speaking to CSK for their YouTube channel, the franchise CEO Kasi Viswanath explained why they didn’t bid for Raina at the 2022 IPL auction.

“Raina has been one of the most consistent performers for CSK for the last 12 years. Of course, it was very difficult for us, not to have Raina but at the same time, you should also understand that the team composition depends on the form and kind of team which any team would like to have,” Viswanath said.

“So that’s one of the reasons why we thought he may not fit into this team,” he further added.

Meanwhile, CSK bought back Dwayne Bravo, Ambati Rayadu, Mitchell Santner and Robin Uthappa in the auction. They also roped in Deepak Chah??ar for a whopping amount of Rs 14 crore, making him the most expensive Indian bowler in the history of IPL auction.

betvisa888IPL 2022 Auction – Cricket Times - betvisa888 live //betvisa68.com/2022/02/ipl-2022-harshal-patel-names-virat-kohlis-successor-at-royal-challengers-bangalore/ Mon, 14 Feb 2022 16:53:17 +0000 //betvisa68.com/?p=62164

After the mega-auctions of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, all franchises would brainstorm in making their best playing combination. Some teams like the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) would have to do an extra task of choosing the captain of their side for the upcoming edition of the cash-ri?ch league.

Notably, RCB’s superstar Virat Kohli shocked his fans after revealing that he won’t be captaining the side prior to the completion of IPL’s last season in 2021. As Kohli stepped down from the captaincy, RCB had entered the mega auction in search of Kohli’s ideal successor.

But who will lead the Challengers in the fifteenth edition of the lucrative tournament is still a mystery as the management hasn’t yet revealed any development regarding the next leader of RCB. However, fast bowler Harshal Patel, who was bought again during the recently concluded bidding event, has named Kohl’s successor.

Patel, roped in by RCB at INR 10.75 crore, weighed in on the captaincy debate and named the newly-picked Faf du Plessis. Notably, RCB entered a bidding war with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to rope in Du Plessis and ended up?? winning the battle. Du ??Plessis was bought at a whopping INR 7 crore.

Patel, who emerged as the leading wicket-t?aker in the ?IPL 2021, backed Du Plessis to lead RCB, stating the 37-year-old has led South Africa pretty well, and he is a potential candidate.

“I don’t know, I haven’t had any chat with anybody at the RCB management, but Faf is, in my opinion. He has led South Africa very well and is a potential candidate, but I certainly can’t say,” Patel said in a conversation on Star Sports.

Patel also opened up about his chat with the RCB management ??before he was released. The 31-year-old mentioned that RCB wanted him to enter the auction so that he gets to earn ?more money in the bidding event.

“They basically told me that if we retain you, we’ll have to pay you 6 crore, and 9 crore will be deducted out of our purse because you will be the fourth player. So we don’t want to do that, and we’d rather that you earn that money in the auction, and we’ll try our best to get you back. So that was the only communication,” added Patel.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auctions witnessed the end of an era as many legendary cricketers went unsold. From Suresh Raina to Amit Mishra, the Indian cricket phenoms couldn’t find any buyer during the 2-day bidding event held in Bengal?uru.

After the completion of IPL 2022 auction, Parth Jindal, the Delhi Capitals (DC) chairman, gave his tribute to the veteran spinner Mis?hra. Parth took to Twitter and mentioned that the DC franchise would like to salute the leggie for everything he has done.

Jindal stated the Capitals would love to have Mishra’s services in the future before adding that DC is Mishra’s team foreve?r.

“To one of the IPL greats, Amit, we at Delhi Capitals would like to salute everything you have done for us over all these years and would love to have you back at DC in whatever capacity you see fit as your insights would be most valuable. Mishy bhai DC is yours for life,” Jindal wrote on the micro-blogging platform.

Notably, Mishra is one of the giants in the cash-rich le?ague and own?s some breathtaking figures. In 154 matches, the leg-spinner has taken 166 wickets, which is the highest among Indian bowlers and third overall.

Mishra has also bagged three ??hat-tricks in the lucrative tournament, which is the highest in the history of IPL. No other bowler has taken more than ?double hat-tricks in the world’s toughest T20 league.

When it comes to the bidding event, the Capitals put up an impressive show by bagging several prominent stars in their squad. All-rounder Shardul Thakur was the most expensive buy for DC, as the Rishabh Pant-led DC spent a massive INR 10.75 crore to acquire the services of former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega-auctions were recently completed on Sunday, where as many as 204 players? were sold, including 67 overseas cricketers.

Many players were re-signed by their old franchises in the bidding event, featuring some big buys like Ishan?? Kishan (purchased by Mumbai Indians for INR 15.25 crore) and Deepak Chahar (roped in by Chennai Supe?r Kings for INR 14 crore).

Apart from Deepak, the Super Kings also acquired the services of Dwayne Bravo, who was released by the four-time champions along with Deepak and others ahead of the auctions. But there were some players whom CSK wanted to buy back again, but they couldn’t manage to do that. One such cricketer was former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis, roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for INR 7 crores.

There is no denial tha??t CSK has an emotional bonding with their players, and it was evident after RCB acquired the services of Du Plessis on Sunday. Upon ending his long journey with the MS Dhoni-led Super Kings, Du Plessis paid his gratitude? and shared an emotional post for the Yellow Army.

“I just wanted to do a quick video message to say thank you to Chennai, the fans, the staff, the management and players for it has been a decade with one team,” Du Plessis sa??id in a ??video shared by CSK on Sunday.

“You create a lot of special memories. I think it’s really important for me to say thank you. I’ve really enjoyed my time a lot. I will really miss everyone there. But as one door closes, a new one opens up, and that comes up with great opportunities. I’m excited to see what the future holds. From me and my family, thank you very much,” the former South African captain added.
