Over the decades, cricket enthusiasts have observed a tendency of Pakistan cricket for bringing their teenage talent at the highest level.

Whether it’s Wasim Akram, Hasan Raza, or Shaheen Shah Afridi, Pakistan cricket is renowned to experiment with their youth in hot waters, very early in their career.

It’s where Indian cricket is slightly different from that of Pakistan. U19 World Cup of 2018 winners, Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill are still not regulars in the Indian team at the highest level.

Only a few fortunate ones, such as Sachin Tendulkar, have received ba?cking from the Indian sele?ctors and been given an opportunity, early on, in their career.

Similarly, the Pakistan selectors decided to provide an opportunity to yet another teenage sensation, in the form of Haider Ali.

Ali impressed one and all during his outings in the 2020 U19 World Cup held in South Africa. He then made a mark in the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), representing Peshawar Zalmi.

Ali’s impressive debut against England

Last week, the Misbah-ul-Haq coached side thought of presenting Ali with his maiden international cap, during the 3rd T20I against England at Old Trafford in Manchester.

Batting first, Pakistan were in a spot of bother after the loss of Babar Azam‘s wicket, with the score reading at 32/2 in the fifth over.

Together with 39-year-old Mohammad Hafeez, Ali added 100 runs for the third wicket. The 19-year-old looked at ease on debut, registering an eye-pleasing knock of 54, in just 33 deliveries. He smashed five boundaries and a couple of maximums at a strike rate of 163.3.

The Hafeez and Ali alliance held a difference of 20 years between them and went on to prove that age is just a number in cricket. In the end, Pakistan won the final game of the T20I series by a margin of five runs.

Even former Australian cricketer, Tom Moody heaped praises for the lat??est batting ??sensation in Pakistan cricket.

First saw Haider Ali in South Africa in the U/19’s WC, it was clear he was a special talent, just love that he’s been given the opportunity to shine today! #EngvPak #HaiderAli #T20,?Moody tweeted.

After the conclusion of Pakistan’s tour of England, one of the biggest positives to come out was wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan.

T??he live-wire impressed one and all with his wicket-keeping and gritty batt??ing skills.

Rizwan’s first added 72 priceless runs in the second Test match at So?uthampton while batting with the tail.

He, then, followed up his knock with yet another gritty half-century (53) in the thir??d Test match at the same venue.

During the England tour, Rizwan appeared neat behind the stumps in all the five games he featured in.

The 28-year-old developed quite a fan-following with his hilarious commentary from behind the stumps. Looking at Rizwan’s presence in the lineup, Pakistan’s future appears to be in safe hands.

Keeping a close eye on Rizwan’s performances off-late is former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed. Both ?Rizwan and Sarfaraz are competing for the same position of wicketkeeper-batsman in the Pakistan team.

Sarfaraz replaced Rizwan in the third T20I

After warming the benches throughout the England tour, Sarfaraz got an opportunity in the 3rd T20I at the Old Trafford in Manchester.

However, Ahmed seemed sloppy behind the stumps as he missed an easy stumping chance of Moeen Ali.

Sarfaraz even managed to york himself while keeping to Imad Wasim, who bo?wled a full delivery outside the off stump. As a result, Ahmed presented England with a gi?ft in the form of a boundary, coming off byes.

Ahmed’s missed stumping proved to be costly as Ali threatened to take England across the finishing line with his spectacular innings of 61 which came off just 33 deliveries.

His innings was laced with four boundaries and an equal nu?mber of?????????????????????????? hits over the fence.

Here’s the video:

In the end, Sarfraz could breathe a sigh of relief as the hosts fell just five runs short of the required target.

Earlier, veteran Mohammad Hafeez and debutant Haider Ali laid the foundation for Pakistan’s win with an entertaining partnership.

Hafeez walked away with both ‘Player of the Match’ as well as ‘Player of the Series’ award.

The tussle between Argentinian soccer star, Lionel Messi, and his boyhood club, FC Barcelona, took a turn for the worst last week.

It all stirred up post humiliation at the hands of FC Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals last month.

After not attending the training session for pre-season, the Barc??a spearhead has made it clear that he will not stay at the club.

Messi now intends to work with Pep Guardiola yet again, this time for Premier League giants Manchester City F.C. Apparently, Messi believes the Spaniard brought th??e best out of him a??nd is now looking to be reunited with the shrewd tactician.

Reportedly, Man City is very close to signing the multiple-time Ballon d’Or winner. The only roadblock in the ‘signing of the decade’ is the 700 million pound release clause instated by the Catalonians.

The clause prohibits Messi to make a move to another club until his contract expires in 2021. Nevertheless, Messi’s move to the Etihad Stadium in Manchester seems imminent.

Across the town, at Old Trafford, Pakistan won the f?inal game of the three-match T20I series by five runs. Thereby, the visitors levelled the series by 1-1.

Just outside the stadium, a Lionel Messi-lookalike was spotted celebrating the Pakistani win. Messi’s doppelganger was seen playing the ‘Dhol’ as P??akist?an won the first game of their England tour.

As soon as the picture hit the internet, Messi’s doppelganger became an overnight sensation, especially with the hype around the?? transfer of ??the footballing icon.

Here are some of the reactions:

Coming back to th??e match, Pakistan finally managed to go across the line after featur?ing in the six international games during the tour.

Veteran batsman Mohammad Hafeez and debutant Haider Ali?? set the tone up-front with their remarkable partnership.

Hafeez remained unbeaten on 86 while Ali smashed a qui??ckfire ??half-century on debut.

The Pakistani bowlers managed to contain the English batsmen with crucial wickets at regular intervals. In the end, even Moeen Ali‘s late onslaught couldn’t negate the tourists?win.

Former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has be?en at the centre of attraction yet again due to another episode of camera??s catching him yawning in a cricket match.

Earlier, Ahmed became the butt of all jokes during the 2019 ODI World Cup game against India. The cameras caught him yawning while keeping behind the stumps.

After Pakistan’s loss in the high-octane clash last year, netizens shred Sarfaraz apart for his lethargy during the game.

Yawning is a normal thing to do, I didn’t commit a sin. If people made money out of me yawning, that’s a good thing,” Sarfaraz had said.

Since then, things only went ??downhill for ??the wicketkeeper-batsman as he lost his place in the national side.

Moreover, selectors included Ahmed in the squad for the ongoing England tour. He was seen warming the bench during the Test m??atches and now in the T20Is.

Yet ?again, cameras caught Sarf??araz in his moment of weakness in both whites and coloured clothing.

The incident occurred during the sixth over of England’s run chase in the 2nd T20I at Old Trafford.

Now, netizens have begun mocking Sarfaraz for becoming the first cricketer to ‘yawn’ in all formats of the game.

Here are some of the hilarious reactions:

Coming back to the game, Pakistan had no answer to onslaughts from England captain Eoin Morgan and Dawid Malan.

They made the chase of 196 runs look like a cakewalk and ended up win?ning the game by five-wickets and five deliveries to spare.

England took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series, w??ith the first g??ame being washed off due to rain.

The second game of the three-match T20I series between England and Pakistan saw the host demolishing the visitor’s bowling attack and registering a five-wicket win.

Earlier, Pakistan posted a challenging score of 195 in 20 overs powered by impressive performances from veteran Mohammad Hafeez (69 off 36) and captain Babar Azam (56 off 44).

While defending the target, the Pakistan bowling attack had no answer to the onslaught from England captain Eoin Morgan (66 off 33) and Dawid Malan (54* off 36).

In the end, it was a comfortable win for the ‘Three Lions’, who completed the run chase with five deliveries to spare.

Now, former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar has launched a scathing attack on the Pakistan captain and tagged him as a ‘lost cow’.

Babar Azam looks like a lost cow to me He is out there, not knowing what to do. It is important for him to take decisions on his own so that it could help him become a better captain in the coming times,” Akhtar said on his YouTube channel.

Akhtar chucks jibes at Azam for his strike-rate

There are instructions coming from outside for him, there are three people on the field who are trying to help him. Babar will need to understand that the chances coming his way, but it’s not going to happen for the rest of his life, so he needs to capitalise on it as much as he can, and emerge as a big brand,” he added.

Azam’s task became stiffer with the likes of Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir and Shaheen Afridi remaining wicketless and conceding above ten runs per over.

Talking about his strike-rate issue ?he plays from 127 to 130-135, he can accelerate. I agree Fakhar Zaman is playing quickly, you don’t need to [accelerate]. But when Zaman got out, you need to play at your own strike-rate, like Eoin Morgan, Dawid Malan and Jonny Bairstow play, they look commanding. Our players look scared. Don’t see any strength,” Akhtar concluded.

Former England all-rounder Paul Collingwood, once again, put on the whites to step onto the f??ield as the 12th man, bringing drinks for the squad.

Collingwood is currently part of England’s support staff and was seen running into the ground bringing drinks on Day 4 of the third Test match against Pakistan at Southampton.

The series is being played in a biosecure bubble, and with the season culminating to i??ts end, England’s squad appears dwindling with injury woes.

England batsman Ollie Pope remained out of action due to an injury. James Bracey came in as his substitute, thereby, leaving only Mark Wood and Jack Leach for the duties.

The instance on the fourth day of the Test match was an unusual one as a spare member in the squad is expected to bring drinks onto the field. ???However, it was Collingwood who had to come onto the field to take up the duty.

England favourites to seal the 3-match Test series

Coming to the game, the hosts remain well poised to clinch a 2-1 win the three-match Test series. Earlier, England posted a mammoth 583-6 in the first innings on the back of the monumental partnership between Zak Crawley and Jos Buttler.

The two batsmen added 357 runs for the fifth wicket. Crawley p?layed a phenomenal knock of 257, his first three-figure score in Test cricket.

Buttler, at the ??other end, scored 152 runs for his team. Thereby, silencing his critics who questioned his place in the Test side.

Despite Pakistan captain, Azhar Ali’s resolute knock of 141*, Pakistan could not avoid the follow-on after being bundled out for 273. Lethal England bowling pair of James Anderson and Stuart Broad shared? sev?en wickets between themselves with the ball.

With a whopping deficit, Pakistan now has their b??acks against the wall to? save the Test match in their second innings.

After the end of the second Test match against Pakistan at Southampton, ICC released its latest Player Rankings. Lethal bowling duo of Stuart Broad and James Anderson ha??ve climbed towards the top spot individually.

The pair of Broad and Anderson had an impressive outing with the? ball in the drawn Test match. Broad moved a place to the number two slot following his 4/56 spell at the Ageas Bowl in the first innings.

Anderson, on the other hand, advanced a couple of spots to the number 14 position. The England pacer finished with a three-wicket haul in the ?second ??game of the three-match series. Previously, both Broad and Anderson have reigned at the summit of ICC Rankings for bowlers.

Pakistan seamer, Mohammad Abbas, has ended up at t?he eighth position, following his 2/28 spell. Abbas reached his career-best third position in the ICC cha??rts for bowlers previously.

Amongst batsmen?, Babar Azam re-attained his career-best fifth position, after playing an attractive knock of 47. Meanwhile, half-centurions, Abid Ali and Mohammad Rizwan, have made individual jumps to the 49th and 75th position respectively.

Further, after a much-required knock of 53, England’s Zak Crawley achieved a career-best 81st place. Ace batsmen, Joe Root and Ben Stokes, have also retaine?d their respective seventh and ninth position in the top 10.

As far as the coveted ICC World Test Championship points table is concerned, England continues to rank third in the charts with 279 points. Pakistan, meanwhile, occupies the fifth place with 153 points. India leads the Test championship points table with 360 points, while Australia is a close second with 296 point??s.

England face Pakistan next in the third Test match at the same venue as the seco??nd game of the series. The hosts currently lead the three-match affair by 1-0. Rain played spoilsport throughout the entirety of the five days of the second Test match. Only 134 overs were bowled in the game.

betvisa888 casinoENGvsPAK – Cricket Times - betvisa888 casino //betvisa68.com/2020/08/wasim-akram-names-the-batsman-who-played-his-reverse-swing-the-best/ Sat, 15 Aug 2020 08:06:30 +0000 //betvisa68.com/?p=45901

On??e of the massive bonuses of watching live ?cricket is the experience of listening to the great detail about personal anecdotes of the game.

During the second Test match between England and Pakistan at Southampton, former pacer Wasim ??Akram revealed about the batsman who played his reverse?? swing the best.

Akram,? along with his partner-in-crime Waqar Younis, were the best proponents of the reverse swing the g?ame has ever seen.

Pakistan’s 1990 tour of New Zealand was memorable for the deadly duo wreaking havoc in the Kiwi camp, as the two shared 39 wickets between them.

Wasim and Waqar had the wood over the Kiwi batters in that seri??es, barring Martin Crowe. The middle-order batsman amassed 244 runs in the-three match affair, at an average of 61.

“I think the ball used to get reverse after five-six overs, don’t ask me why. It was against New Zealand and Waqar got 30 [29] wickets in three Test matches and I got 16 [10] in two and got injured. Martin Crowe got two hundreds [one hundred],” Wasim recalled in the Sky Sports commentary box.

“And ‘I asked him after the series, ‘What’s your secret?’ He said, ‘I just try to play you on the front foot and I play for the in-swingers every time and the out-swingers automatically miss the edge’,” he added.

Earlier in June this year, popular England commentator, David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd talked about Wasim’s liking for bowling with the old ball, during his stint at Lancashire. And the rest of his peers complained about it, asking for newer cherries.

“Wasim Akram used to look in the ball bag and just come out with the worst ball he could find, a real scruffy ball so he could practise reverse swing,” Lloyd said during a Sky Sports?show ‘Watchalong’.

“All the rest of the lads would say, ‘Look at these, we can’t bowl with these ?we want some new balls,’ and Akram would look at the bag and bring one out and would just work on that skill of reverse swing,” Lloyd concluded.
