The first match of the 2019 Deodhar Trophy took place at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi between India A and India B. Parthiv Patel led India B cruised past Hanuma Vihari’s India A by 108 runs.

After asked to bat first, India B posted a mamm?oth total of 302/6 in 50 overs, thanks to centuries from Ruturaj Gaik??wad (113) and Baba Aparajith (101).

In reply, India A never looked in the ch??ase, and when things were looking dull, a schoolboy error involving Jaydev Unadkat took place, which left everyone in splits.

The incident happened in the 43rd over of the second innings when the result of the match was inconsequential. India A was struggling at 176/7 with Unadkat on strike to face the fifth ball of Shahbaz Nadeem’s over. The 28-year-old tailender came down the track to play the delivery and pushed the ball to the cover fielder.

However, during all the action, Unadkat slipped, and after completing his shot, he kept staring at the spot where the ball was pitched. Hilariously, Unadkat forgot to go back to the crease, and the alert Kedar Jadhav at covers fired the ?throw towards wicket-keeper? Parthiv Patel, who dislodged the bails in a flash.

Unadkat had no idea what panned out in a split second a??nd had to walk back to the pavilion after scoring only a solitary run off seven balls.

A scoreboard error caused India C ca?ptain Ajinkya Rahane to celebrate his century even before he actually reached the three-figure mark against India B in the Deodhar Trophy final at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Saturday.

Rahane and Ishan Kishan slammed respec?tive centuries to help their side clinch the title by beating India B in the final. For t??????????????????????????he defending champions, Shreyas Iyer slammed a ton as well but it went in vain as his team fell short by 29 runs in the end.

However, in a funny turn of events, after having a look at the faulty scoreboard, Rahane thought he had completed his century and ended up raising his bat to acknowledge his teammates in the dressing roo??m.

But soon the correction was made as his teammates signalled that he was still three runs behind. Suresh Raina stood up and showed him three?? fingers whi??ch, with a sheepish grin, Rahane eventually saw.

He reached his century later on, with a single and this time, there was no confusion. For his match-winning ton, Rahane was also chosen as the ‘Player of the match’.

betvisa888 betDeodhar Trophy – Cricket Times - betvisa login //betvisa68.com/2018/10/bcci-announces-india-a-india-b-and-india-c-squads-for-deodhar-trophy-2018-19/ Thu, 18 Oct 2018 16:22:40 +0000 //betvisa68.com/?p=26023

Ravichandran Ashwin and Suresh?? Raina has been named in squads for the Deodhar Trophy beginning on 23rd October with a slight tweak in the format.

The tournament remains a three-team affair but it will not feature Vijay Hazare Trophy champions this time. Instead, India A, India B and India C, captained by Dinesh Karthik, Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane respectively, will compete for the title. With the World Cup just over seven months away, the trio will be looking to pile on consistent scores of note to present the selectors with some headaches, with the Indian middle-order, which just about pulled off a chase in the Asia Cup final last month, still loo?king wobbly.

Ravichandran Ashwin, who has not played an ODI since the tour of the West Indies in July 2017, will be looking to make a comeback into the ODI side and ??keep his World Cup dre??am alive as he finds himself part of India A.

Also Suresh Raina, who fell out of favour with the selectors after a torrid tour of England and was dropped for the subsequent Asia Cup last month, is unlikely to get a better opportunity to prove his ODI credentials and warrant a selection for the 2019 World Cup. The left-hander was a vital cog in the knockout stages of India’s victorious 2011 World Cup campaign.

Other players competing to break into the side include Siddarth Kaul and Jaydev Unadkat. Prithvi Shaw, who recently dazzled in his debut Test series agains?t Windies would want to make a statement too, along with Shubman Gill, his partner-in-crime in the U-19 Wor??ld Cup earlier this year.

Squads for Deodhar Trophy:

India A:

Dinesh Karthik (c &a?mp; wk), Prithvi Shaw, Anmolpreet Singh, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Ankit Bawne, Nitish Rana, Karun Nair, Krunal Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Gopal, Shams Mulani, Mohammed Siraj, Dhawal Kulkarni, Siddarth Kaul.
