During the fun segment at the Delhi Premier League T20 tournament, where Sehwag was asked to make quick choices between some of the most prominent figures in cricket history. Among the names presented were three of India’s biggest cricket stars: Kohli, Dhoni, and Rohit. In this rapid-fire round, he ultimately selected Rohit as his top choice, highlighting the Mumbai Indians captain as his preferred player.

The challenge began with Sehwag choosing between Dhoni and Ben Stokes. He selected Dhoni, affirming his preference for the former India captain. However, Dhoni was later pitted against South Africa‘s legendary AB de Villiers, and Dhoni was edged out by De Villiers.
When the next choice was between De Villiers and Kohli, Sehwag favored Kohli. Finally, in the matchup between Kohli and Rohit, Sehwag we??nt ??with Rohit, the current captain of the Indian ODI and Test teams, as his top pick.

South Delhi Superstarz’s well-rounded batting performance

Badoni’s explosive innings was just one part of a well-rounded batting performance from South Delhi. The innings began with openers Priyansh Arya and Sarthak Ray building a solid foundation, putting together a 52-run partnership off just 28 balls. Although Ray was dismissed for 22 by Deepak Punia, Arya continued to anchor the innings, scoring a valuable 45 off 26 balls, which included five boundar?ies and two sixes.

However, it was Badoni’s blistering knock that truly set the stage for a massive total. As the innings progressed, Tejaswi Dahiya added the finishing touches to South Delhi’s innings with an equally explosive?? performance. Nevertheless, once their stand was broken, wickets began to tumble at regular intervals, and the Lions struggled to keep up with the escalating required run rate. The team was eventually bowled out for 159 runs in 17.4 overs, falling short by 69 runs. South Delhi’s bowlers shared the spoils, with Ayush Badoni, Kuldip Yadav, Shubham Dubey and Digvesh Rathi each claiming two wickets, while Deepanshu Gulia chipped in with one.

Purani Delhi-6’s strong start

After Manjeet’s dismissal for 13 off eight balls, which included two boundaries, Rishabh Pant walked out to join Arpit Rana in the middle. The duo steadied the innings, with Rana leading the charge. Rana scored the first fifty of the tournament, accumulat??ing 59 runs off 41 balls, including eight fours and?? two sixes. Together, they put up an 80-run partnership for the second wicket before Pant was dismissed for 35.

Lalit Yadav and Vansh Bedi provided a strong finish to the innings, adding an 89-run stand that propelled Purani Delhi to a formidable total of 197/3. Bedi’s aggressive 47 off 24 balls, featuring four fours and four sixes, and Yadav’s 34 off 21 balls helped set a daunting target of 198 for South Delhi.
