Former South Africa international AB de Villiers and his wife Danielle have welcomed a newly born baby to their family. The couple via Instagram revealed that they got blessed with their first daughter last week.

AB was recently in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), plying his trade with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the IPL 2020. Taking to social media, he posted a lovely picture with his wife and their daughter, whom they have named Yente.

“On 11-11-2020, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world Yente de Villiers, you are the perfect addition to our family and such a blessing. We are grateful beyond measure for YOU! Genade onbeskryklik groot. Dankie Here,” De Villiers captioned his post.

AB and Danielle tied the knots on March 30, 2013, after dating each other for more than five years.

“About a couple of months leading up to the IPL, I was obviously planning, got the ring and all that, and I decided to do it there. And once I got to the IPL, I got security guards. But I told Danielle that I have to travel with security guards, so that’s why they got to go with us.

“And it ended up to be a great surprise and I got it all on camera,” the Proteas star was quoted as saying to host Vikram Sathaye on ‘What the Duck Season 3’.

In 2015, Danielle gave birth to their first child Abraham de Villiers. Two years later, their second son John de Villiers was born.

Former South Africa international AB de Villiers has decided not to play for Brisbane Heat in the upcoming edition of the Big Bash League (BBL).

De Villiers’ signing was announced to much fanfare last season as he played six matches for the Heat, scoring 146 runs at an average of 24.33. AB is currently enjoying an impressive IPL with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the UAE and the Heat hope he can return to their set up in the future.

“While things initially looked fine for him to come back, there have been a few factors emerge which have changed everyone’s plans,” Heat coach Darren Lehmann told EspnCricinfo.

“The main one, aside from the challenges represented by Covid-19 and international travel, is that AB and his wife Danielle are expecting their third child very soon.

“Naturally we’re very pleased for them and know that the next few months will be a very special time for all. We’ll stay in contact and see what develops. He has been in excellent touch in the IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore, so he obviously remains a player we’d like to keep working with when the circumstances allow,” he added.

If De Villiers had joined the BBL he would have been required to undergo a mandatory 14 days quarantine period in a hotel room before being able to link up with the Heat squad.

“It’s exciting for Danielle and me with the arrival of our new baby very soon,” he said. “So with a young, growing family, and the uncertainty around travel and conditions due to Covid-19, we reluctantly decided it wasn’t going to be this season.

“The Heat were great to us last summer and I am very open to returning to the club in the future. The team didn’t get the results we were hoping for and I consider there is some unfinished business to deal with,” Lehmann added further.

Meanwhile, Heat will be pleased with the return of unorthodox finger-spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman to their squad for BBL|10. They will also have the services of England’s talented young batsman, Tom Banton, once again.

BBL teams are now allowed to field three overseas players in their playing XIs. The dates and venues for the T20 extravaganza are expected to be confirmed in the coming days.

Danielle Swart, the wife of former South African skipper AB de Villiers, on Tuesday posted a picture of her bump and seemed ecstatic to welcome their third child. “Hello baby girl,” Danielle captioned the post confirming the news on Instagram.

However, the Proteas star will be seen playing a 3TC match organised by Cricket South Africa (CSA) on July 18. He would be leading AB’s Eagles team with the national players like Aiden Markram, Lungi Ngidi, Andile Phehlukwayo and Rassie van der Dussen among others in the side.

Bollywood actress and Virat Kohli’s wife, Anushka Sharma has posted an emotional tweet to convey her wishes to South African star batsman AB de Villiers who announced his retirement from all forms of cricket with immediate effect.

Anushka, who is currently shooting for ‘Zero’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan, took to her official Twitter handle hours after ABD announced his decision.

When South Africa’s star batsman AB de Villiers walked out in the middle, there was plenty of reverse swing on offer for the Australian bowlers in the final session of play on Day 2 of the second Test.

With the ball doing plenty and wickets falling, ABD did what he does best �?went on to attack. He was rewarded with plenty of runs to his tally and soon enough brought his fifty from just 62 balls.

Move to the third day, he continued superbly alongside Vernon Philander and completed his 22nd Test century and remained unbeaten when the last wicket fell. At the end of the morning session, South Africa added 118 runs to their overnight total of 264/7 and was eventually bowled out for 382 to take a 139 run lead. AB walked back amid a loud standing ovation and respectful applause from Australia players as well.

The unbeaten 126 by ABD also ended his dry spell of not scoring a Test ton in his last 13 Test matches.

South African star batsman AB de Villiers and his wife Danielle de Villiers became proud parents of their second child on July 17.

The couple were blessed with a baby boy and ABD took to his Instagram account to break out the news with his fans and the well wishers.

In his post, AB de Villiers shared a family picture that has his elder son Abraham de Villiers, his wife Danielle and the new born baby.

Mr. 360 has named his new born baby as John Richard de Villiers. He also conceded that both child and the mother are in good health after the successful delivery.

ABD also had a special word of praise for his wife, wherein he commended the immense courage and strength that she showed during this phase.

“Now we are 4! Praise the Lord for this amazing blessing in our lives. John Richard de Villiers was born at 11am on Monday the 17th and both Danielle and John are safe at home. My wife is the most amazing woman and once again showed incredible courage and strength through all of this,” wrote AB de Villiers with the picture.
