19-year-old Dewald Brevis created numerous records with his scintillating knock during a T20 match between Titans and Knights in Potchefstroom on Monday. The right-handed batter smashed 162 runs off just 57 balls with the help of 13 fours and 13 sixes.

Brevis, who is popularly called ‘Baby AB’ because of his uncanny resemblance to South Africa legend AB de Villiers, was applauded by the man himself.

Brevis raced to his maiden hundred in T20 cricket off just 35 balls, only five short of the world record held by Chris Gayle. He guided Titans to the fourth-highest total in T20 history – 271/3.

Brevis also slammed the fastest 150 in T20 cricket, achieving the feat of just 51 deliveries.

Brevis is yet to make his international debut but played for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) earlier this year. In his debut season for the Mumbai Paltan, he scored 161 runs in seven matches.
