India’s premier domestic cricket tournament, the Ranji Trophy, has undergone a revamp for the 2024-25 season. The new format introduces a promotion and relegation system to enhance competition and provide opportunities for teams to move between divisions.

Promotion and Relegation System

A ?key aspect of this season is the introduction of the promotion and relegation system:

Promotion: The two finalists from the Plate group will b??e promoted to the Elite category for? the 2025?6 season.

Relegation: The two ?lowest-performing teams from the Elite groups, based on their points and quotient, will be relegated to the Plate category for the following season.

The 90th edition of the Ranji Trophy will kickstart on October 11 and continue till March 2025.

The magnificent trophy was displayed at the Elante Mall in the city, where popular IPL anchor Archana Vijaya kept the cricket lover?s entertained and added fun to the excitement of the crowd.

The VIVO IPL trophy made a stopover at the Sukhna ??lake, which is iconic tourist spot in Chandigarh.

Around 1500 – 2000 fans enjoyed the sight of the coveted trophy and clicked selfies with the trophy and anchor Archana.

With just few days left for one of the biggest sporting tourname?nt in the world- Indian Premier League (IP??L), VIVO IPL 2017 will embark an exciting 16 cities trophy tour with the first leg starting from Chandigarh on 10th March.

The IPL trophy will travel across the country ??between 10th to 31st March where ardent cricket lovers will get a first-hand experience of the coveted trophy.

After Chandigarh, the trophy tour be tr??avelling to 15 other cities and the journey will end on 31st March in Pune.

Announcing the trophy tour, CMO, Vivo India Vivek Zhang was quoted saying, “Vivo is excited to announce the VIVOIPL 2017 trophy tour in 16 cities. The association with IPL last year resulted in a huge brand recall and proved to be extremely fruitful for Vivo.”

The Vivo IPL trophy will travel to cities namely- Chandigarh, Delhi, Bangalore, Ch?ennai, Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Indore, Nagpur, Mumbai and Pune.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, excited Archana Vijaya, anchor of pre and post match talk show Extraaa innings T20 in IPL, could not stop herself from posting a selfie with the magnificent trophy on Instagram. “Couldn’t have asked for a better start!
