With the video of Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowling in the indoor nets at the Old Trafford in Manchester coming into view, the debate has started as to whether he should be brought back into India’s playing XI or kept out in favour of Mohammed Shami.

Now, cricket icon Sachin ?Tendulkar has spoken out on the issue and has thrown his weight firmly behind Bhuvneshwar.

Speaking on Star Sports during the mid-innings break of the England vs Austra?lia game, Tendulkar said that while he sympathises with Shami, the fact that Bhuvneshwar was the first choice should lead to him bei??ng picked against West Indies.

“I feel sorry for Shami but I would pick Bhuvneshwar Kumar because he was the first choice seamer coming into the tournament. So, if he is fit, I would go with him,” the Master Blaster opined.

Going further into his reasons for choosing Bhuvneshwar over Shami, Tendulkar also talked about the importance of Kumar for Virat ??Kohli-led India because they had to deal with Windies swashbuckling opener Chris Gayle in their next game, on Thursday.

“I would pick Bhuvneshwar, especially against West Indies because Chris Gayle, I feel you need someone to take the ball away from him and Bhuvneshwar is better at that,” Tendulkar reasoned.

India are currently placed third on the league? table of the tournament with four wins out of five matches. Their game against New Zealand was washed out due to rain. On the other hand, West Indies are placed eight on the table and are out of the tournament. They have won only one match and lost four out of six games whereas one of their matches was also washed out due to rain.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowlers once again succ?ess?fully defended a total to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 5 runs at home on Monday night.

Chasing a stiff target of 147, Virat Kohli & Co. were restricted to 141/6 in 20 overs. RCB needed 12 off the last over and Bhuvneshwar Kumar executed the plan well to keep the batsmen silent.

Wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni has been the talk of Indian cricket recently, with some former cricketers including VVS Laxman taking a dig at the Ranchi man, stating he should make ??way for young guns in T20Is.

Dhoni may no longer be batti?ng the same way, as he used to four or five years ago, and it has led to criticism, but the fo??rmer skipper has the backing of the team.

India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar revealed that the team is not really bothered about his current scores, as they back Dhoni to the core. The right-arm bowler even labelled him as a ‘legend’.

“If you look at his record, nobody (team management) is really bothered. Whatever he has done, he has been doing well, he knows he is a legend. Whatever he is doing, it is benefitting the Indian team. No one has any doubts about him,” Bhuvi said at a press conference on the eve of the third T20I in Thiruvananthapuram.

Star Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar recently revealed the mystery girl, Nupur Nagar, his ‘better half’ a day before the two got engaged on October 4.

Nupur has been Bhuvi’s family friend for a long time and is an engineer working in Noida.

Kiran Pal Singh, Bhuvi’s father while talking to TOI said that they were looking for a 10-day window for the marriage ceremony and was planning to have it Meerut itself.

However, now it has been reported that the wedding ceremony will take place at a resort in Meerut on N??ovember 23rd which be attend?ed by their close friends and family members.

The families will host two receptions, one on November 26 for Bhuvi’s extended family in Bulandshahr and the other mega-event in New Delhi on November 30th which will be attended by Indian teammates namely Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja and others.

The support staffs of the Indian team will also be present there to grace the reception ceremony. Other del??egates from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) and Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) are also expected to attend the reception party.

India’s swing bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar may have clean bowled many batsmen on the field but finally, the speedster has lost his own wicket. The young lad got engaged to Nupur Nagar in Greater Noida on Wednesday, October 4.

Bhuvi took to social media platforms to share a photograph of Nupur with himself with an e??motional message on Thursday. Notably, the Meerut-based cricketer had revealed the identity of his fiancee in an Instagram post only on Tuesday, October 3.

Recalling the time spent with Nupur in the past, Bhuvneshwar posted couple of photos on his Instagram account. He captioned the pictures, “Rewinding and going back to the happy memories, inspires me to fast forward and dream about the amazing future that lies ahead.”

Bhuvneshwar and Nupur’s family had known each other as they had been living in the same neighbourhood in Meerut’s Ganga Nagar, according to the Times of India.
