Indian cricket fans are known for their passionate reactions to the national team’s performances. Be it celebrating victories or criticizing defeats, the emotions often spill over onto social media. On November 19, fans took to various platforms to recall India’s loss in the ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia, which occurred exactly a year ago.

The heartbreak stemmed from a disappointing Indian batting performance, where the team was bowled out for 240 in 50 overs after losing the toss. Australia chased down the target comfortably in just 43 overs, powered by Travis Head’s magnific?ent 137 off 120 balls. The Indian players, including both batters and bowlers, faced heavy backlash for their underwhelming display in the high-st??akes match.

Troll targets Kuldeep Yadav on anniversary of the World Cup final loss

A year later, the criticism resurfaced as fans revisited the final. Among the Indian players, spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who went wicketless in the match, was singled out by a fan on X (formerly Twitter). Kuldeep’s figures in the final read 10-0-56-0, despite havin???g claimed 15 wickets in the tournament leading up to the clash.

The fan’s tweet mocked the spinner, stating that while most Indian players were being criticized, Kuldeep had seemi?ngly avoided scrutin??y.

“Sabki pelai ho rhi but Is bkl ko koi kyun nhi pel rha …” the user wrote.

Kuldeep comes up with a fiery response

Kuldeep, who rarely enga?ges in online spats, chose to address the comment this time. In his response, he questioned the intentions of the troll, suggesting it could either be a paid comment or rooted?? in personal animosity.

“Hanji kis cheez ki dikkat hai apko, itna pyara likhne ke liye paise mile ya koi Jati dusmani hai?” Kuldeep replied, silencing the critic.

The bold reply from the spinner earned widespread praise from fans, m??any of whom lauded hi??s courage to stand up for himself amidst the constant criticism.

The 2024 T20 World Cup final was a nail-biting affair, with India emerging victorious against South Africa by a narrow margin of seven runs. The Proteas, chasing a target of 172, had the game well within their grasp with David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen at the crease. However, a stunning spell from Jasprit Bumrah turned the tide in India’s favor, leaving South Africa needing 16 runs from the final over.

In the crucial over, Suryakumar Yadav‘s brilliant catch dismissed Miller, providing India with a much-needed breakthrough. Captain Rohit Sharma revealed that he had encouraged his team to apply pressure on the South African batters through sledging??, emphasizing the importance of winning at ??any cost.

“We all said a few things to their batsmen, which I can’t share, but it was important to do that because we wanted to win at any cost,” Ro?hit ?said in The Great Kapil Sharma Show on Netflix.

Suryakumar, who was also a key player in India’s triumph, has been appointed as the new T20I captain and will lead the team in the upcoming series against Bangladesh. Other notable guests on The Great Kapil Sharma Show included Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, and Arshdeep Singh.

Rohit Sharma’s command in the final over drama

The fin??al over of the match was a tense affair, with South Africa needing 16 runs to win. Bumrah, known for his ability to deliver under pressure, bowled a tight line and length, making it difficult for the South African batters to score freely. The dismissal of Miller brought India closer to victory, and the subsequent deliveries kept the pressure on the South African batters.

“Just say ??whatever ??you want to say, we will handle the umpires and referees later,/em> he added.

Rohit’s leadership played a crucial role in India’s victory. His decision to encourage his team to sledge the South African batters was a bold one, but it ultimately paid off. By creating a hostile atmosphere, Rohit and his team were able to put the South African batsmen under immense pressure, forcing them to make mistakes.

End of an era

The T20 World Cup final marked the end of an era for Indian cricket, as both Rohit and Virat Kohli announced their retirements from the format. These retirements of two modern-day greats marked the end of an era in Indian cricket. Both players have been instrumental in India’s rise as a global cricketing power, and their absence will undoubtedly be felt. However, the future of Indian cricket looks bright with the emergence of talented young players.

India’s ongoing challenge

With the T20 World Cup behind th?em, India will now focus on their upcoming series against Bangladesh. The series will be a good opportunity for Suryakumar and his team to gel together and prepare for future challenges. The future of Indian cricket looks promising, and it will be exciting to see how the team performs under the leadership of Surya.

betvisa888World Cup – Cricket Times - betvisa casino //betvisa68.com/2024/08/here-are-the-iccs-ratings-for-all-52-pitches-in-t20-world-cup-2024/ Wed, 21 Aug 2024 14:14:34 +0000 //betvisa68.com/?p=151193

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its official pitch ratings for the T20 World Cup 2024, which was held across the United States of America (USA) and the West Indies. The ratings, whi?ch were eagerly awaited by fans and experts alike, have sparked?? renewed debate over the quality of the playing surfaces used during the tournament, which concluded over a month ago.

Pitch ratings overview: A mixed bag

The ICC assessed a total of 52 completed matches, with the pitch ratings revealing a mix of satisfactory and concerning results. Out of these, 31 pitches were rated ‘satisfactory,’ while 18 were praised with a ‘very good’ rating. However, the report also highlighted serious issues with three specific pitches, all of which received ‘unsatisfactory’ ratings.

For instance, the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas and Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua consistently received “Very Good” ratings for their pitches, reflecting excellent playing conditions. In contrast, Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York faced challenges, with some matches rated as “Unsatisfactory,” indicating suboptimal pitch conditions. The overall pitch quality varied significantly a??cross the 2024 T20 World Cup, with certain venues providing a superior playing surface compared to others.

Unsatisfactory pitches: A cause for concern

??The most concerning ratings were attributed to pitches at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York and the Bria??n Lara Cricket Stadium in Trinidad.

  1. Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York: This makeshift venue hosted eight matches during the group stage, with two of these matches – South Africa vs Sri Lanka and India vs Ireland – receiving the lowest possible ratings. The surfaces were criticized for inconsistent bounce and excessive assistance to seam bowlers, leading to extremely low totals. Sri Lanka was bowled out for just 77 runs by South Africa, while Ireland managed only 96 runs against India. The ICC’s ‘unsatisfactory’ rating for these two matches underscores the difficulties faced by the batters on these pitches.
  2. Brian Lara Cricket Stadium, Trinidad: The third pitch under scrutiny was the one used for the semi-final between Afghanistan and South Africa. In this crucial encounter, Afghanistan was dismissed for a mere 56 runs within 12 overs, their lowest T20I score and the lowest ever in a men’s T20 World Cup semi-final. The pitch’s performance during this match drew significant criticism, leading to its ‘unsatisfactory’ rating by the ICC.

Matthew Hayden’s greatest ODI World Cup XI of all time

Explosive opening pair

Adam Gilchrist (wk): The Australian wicketkeeper-batter was renowned for his explosive starts and acrobatic wicketkeeping. Gilchrist’s aggressive batting at the top of the order was a key component in Australia’s dominance in the early 2000s. He was part of Australia’s ODI World Cup winning teams in 1999, 2003 and 2007.

Virender Sehwag: The Indian opener’s fearless approach and ability to take on the bowlers from the first ball?? made him an ideal partner for Gilchrist. Sehwag’s quick scoring provided India with sol?id foundations in many matches. Sehwag was part of India’s 2011 World Cup winning side.

Rock solid middle order

Ricky Ponting: One of the most successful captains in cricket history, Ponting’s leadership and consistency with the bat were invaluable. His knack for performing in crucial matches cemented his place in the XI. Leading Australia in two World Cup wins in 2003 and 2007, Ponting was rightfully named as the captain.

Sachin Tendulkar: The ‘Master Blaster’ is the highest run-scorer in ODI history. Tendulkar’s remarkable performances across multiple World Cups made him a natural choice for any all-time XI. He missed out clinching the title by a close margin in 2003 but had his moment in 2011 when India won the World Cup after 28 years.

Brian Lara: The West Indian legend’s elegance and ability to dominate bowlers from around the world earn him a spot in the middle order. Lara’s flair and technique were instrumental in his many match-winning innings.

Dynamic all-rounder

Jacques Kallis: The South African all-rounder was considered one of the greatest cricketers of all time. Kallis’ proficiency with both bat and ball provides balance to Hayden’s XI, making him a crucial player in this line-up. Though, Kallis never won any World Cup but his contribution in ODIs is second to none.

The high-class bowling attack

Wasim Akram: The ‘Sultan of Swing’ from Pakistan was renowned for his ability to swing the ball both ways. Akram’s lethal bowling was a nightmare for batters in World Cups. Being part of 1992 World Cup winning side, Akram attained the legendary status and he is a natural choice for any all-time XI irrespective of the formats.

Waqar Younis: Akram’s partner-in-crime, Waqar was widely Known for his devastating reverse swing. He formed a formidable bowling partnership with Akram and his pace and ability to bowl toe-crushing yorkers made him a vital member of the bowling attack.

Shane Warne: The Australian leg-spin maestro is widely regarded as one of the best bowlers in cricket history. Warne’s ability to turn the ball sharply and his knack for taking crucial wickets counts? him in any best XI side.

Muttiah Muralitharan: The highest wicket-taker in ODI history, Muralitharan’s spin wizardry bamboozled batters around the world. The Sri Lankan off-spinner’s inclusion in Hayden’s XI adds depth and variety to the spin department.

Glenn McGrath: McGrath’s pinpoint accuracy and consistency made him one of the most successful fast bowlers in World Cup history. The Australian pacer’s ability to deliver under pressure is well-documented. McGrath, too, was part of Australia’s World Cup winning team in 1999, 2003 and 2007.

Notable absence: Virat Kohli

The absence of Virat Kohli, one of the modern greats, has indeed raised eyebrows among cricket fans. Kohli’s impressive World Cup record and his stature in world cricket made him a strong contender for many. However, Hayden’s selection reflects his preference for players who have had a significant impact over a longer period in World Cup history.

India‘s thrilling T20 World Cup victory in Barbados on June 29th marked the end of a long, arduous wait for an ICC title. The win was especially sweet as it coincided with the retirement of cricketing legends Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from the T20 format.

The nation eagerly anticipated the team’s return, but their journey home was disrupted by Hurricane Beryl. Despite the setback, the team eventually arrived in Delhi on July 4th to a hero’s welcome.

Rahul Dravid ditches luxury for comfort

In a recent interview, Star Sports network producer in their show with anchor Jatin Sapru revealed one of the most surprising anecdotes to emerge from the flight was the decision of head coach Rahul Dravid to trade the comforts of business class for a ??snooze in the economy section. It seems the rigours of the tournament and the excitement of victory had caught up with the usually composed coach, prompting him to seek a quieter environment for some much-needed rest.

“On this flight, Barbados to Delhi, I think hardly anyone slept for more than six hours. That would have been the maximum. At no point was anyone quiet. Everyone was mingling around. Players came to meet the members of the press and few others. Star Sports engineers were also part of the flight because theirs was cancelled and they were also accommodated. But there was a lot of interaction. Rohit Sharma came several times. I believe at one moment, Rahul Dravid came up to the economy section to figure out if there was a 4-seater because he wanted to sleep. He came there from the business class and slept there for some time,” said the producer of Star Sports Network

The revelation paints a picture of Dravid as a man who prioritizes comfort and functionality over status, a trai?t that has undoubtedly contributed to his respected position within the team. It also highlights the informal and relaxed atmosphere that prevailed on the flight, where even the most senior member?s of the team were not averse to unconventional arrangements.

Rohit Sharma’s playful side

Another intriguing detail that emerged from the flight was the behaviour of Indian captain Rohit. Known for his calm demeanour on the field, the skipper apparently displayed a more animated side during the journey. A source revealed that Rohit was heard “scolding” someone, although it was quickly clarified that the rebuke was delivered in jest.

“I remember I was sleeping, and I could suddenly hear Rohit scolding somebody. I saw and he was standing right there. But Rohit, in his style, was scolding jokingly. After that, Hardik came, Rishabh came, and they were all having discussions with the media, the producer added.

The incident offers a rare glimpse into the camaraderie?? amo?ng the team members, suggesting a light-hearted and jovial atmosphere off the field. It also humanizes Rohit, portraying him as a more approachable and relatable figure than his often-serious public image might suggest.

A restless flight

The overall mood on the flight was one of excitement and celebration but also exhaustion. The long journey, combined with the adrenaline rush of the victory, meant that most passengers, including the players, struggled to get adequate sleep. In fact, it was reported that hardly anyone mana?ged more than six hours of rest.

“I think hardly anyone slept for more than six hours. That would have been the maximum. At no point was anyone quiet. Everyone was mingling around. Players came to meet the members of the press and a few others, the producer stated.

Despite? the sleep deprivation, the flight served as an opportunity for team bonding and relaxation. Players mingled with each other and with the media, creating a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

A triumphant return

While the official celebrations and appearances kept the team busy, the behind-the-scenes stories from the 16-hour flight continue to captivate fans. Recent revelations about the atmosphere on board have added to the ongoing excitement surrounding India’s World Cup triumph.

As the Indian team landed in Delhi to a hero’s welcome, it was clear that the challenges of the flight were quickly forgotten amidst the euphoria of the triumph. The journey home may have been long and arduous, but it was also a memorable chapter in the team’s story.
