Indian opener and Mumbai batter Prithvi Shaw has recently taken to social media to share a cryptic post amidst growing criticism over his fitness and lackluster performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024. Shaw’s Instagram story appeared shortly after a source from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) expressed concerns about his fitness and discipline, adding fuel to the ongoing debate about his exclusion from Mumbai’s squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25.

Prithvi Shaw’s cryptic story

Shaw expressed that one should refrain from speaking on a topic unless they fully understands it. He critiqued the tendency of many people to form and express strong opinions based on incomplete or insufficient information. This statement is widely seen as a direct response to the backlash he has been facing, including the controv??ersial comment??s from the MCA.

MCA’s statement raises eyebrows

The 25-year-old opener recently featured in Mumbai’s triumphant Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign, contributing to the team’s success but struggling to make a notable impact with the bat. Across nine innings, Shaw scored just 197 runs without a single half-century, including a disappointing 10-run knock in the final against Madhya Pradesh. While he showcased glimpses of his explosive bat??ting potential, his inability to convert promising starts into significant sco??res has sparked concerns about his current form.

A source within the MCA had earlier criticized that Shaw needs to improve his fitness, discipline, and performance?, with fitness being the primary concern. His physical condition and frame visibly highlight these issues during match?es.

“The fitness concern is there, but the performance is also not there currently. He needs to work on his fitness, discipline, and performance. The main issue is the fitness. You see the matches. You get the image, right? Just by looking at his frame, the fitness issues are there for everyone to see,” a source within the MCA said to PTI.

An anonymous source also revealed that  Shaw frequently missed training during the SMAT, citing late-night outings and returning to the hotel at 6 a.m., addi??ng that despite repeated guidance, his ?lack of discipline is self-sabotaging.

Prithvi Shaw missed training sessions regularly during SMAT as he would enter the hotel at 6am after being out at night. Everyone has given him the inputs, we can’t babysit him. No one is Shaw’s enemy, he is his own enemy,” the source added

Shaw shares an emotional post following exclusion

The controversial statement from the MCA came after Shaw’s recent exclusion from Mumbai‘s squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 for that Shaw posted heartfelt message and his stats on his Instagram story expressed his frustration over being overlooked despite his stellar domestic record of 3,399 runs in 65 innings at an average of 55.7 and a strike rate of 126. He reaffirmed his faith in God, vowed to make a comeback, and thanked his supporters, signing off with “Om Sai Ram.”

Prithvi Shaw‘s recent exclusion from Mumbai‘s squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 has sparked significant discussion in the cricketing community. Once hailed as a prodigious talent, Shaw’s inconsistent performances and fitness issues have led to a series of setbacks, culminating in his omission from this crucial tournament.

Prithvi Shaw’s decline in stars finds no end

Shaw’s journey in cricket has been marked by both brilliance and disappointment. The 25-year-old opener was recently part of Mumbai’s victorious campaign in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25, where he contributed to the team’s success but failed to make a significant impact with the bat. In nine innings, he managed only 197 runs, with no half-centuries to his name, including a disappointing performance in the final against Madhya Pradesh where he scored just 10 runs. Despite showing flashes of his explosive batting style, Shaw’s inability to convert starts into substantial scores has raised concerns about his form.

Shaw’s relationship with Mumbai captain Shreyas Iyer adds another layer to this narrative. After the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy victory, Iyer praised Shaw’s talent but emphasized the need for improvement in his work ethic and fitness. He remarked that while Shaw is undoubtedly gifted, he cannot be “babysat” and must take responsibility for his own performance and development. This candid assessment reflects a growing frustration within the team regarding Shaw’s commitment, as he has faced scrutiny for his lifestyle choices and lack of discipline.

The impact of this exclusion on Shaw

The decision to drop Shaw from the Vijay Hazare Trophy squad is a significant blow to his career aspirations. This exclusion not only raises questions about his current form but also highlights ongoing concerns regarding his fitness and discipline. Previously, he had been left out of Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy squad due to similar issues, marking a troubling trend in his professional life. Wit??h the tournament set to begin on December 21, 2024, Shaw will miss at least the first three matches, further limiting his opportunities to prove himself on the domestic stage.

Shaw’s recent performances have led many to speculate about his future in cricket. His failure to secure a contract during the IPL 2025 mega auction only adds to this uncertainty, suggesting that franchises are wary of investing in a player whose potential remains unfulfilled. However, there is still hope that with introspection and hard work, he can reclaim his position as one of India’s most promising talents.

Prithvi Shaw, once heralded as the future of Indian cricket, finds himself at a crossroads in his career. Touted as a child prodigy, Shaw’s early exploits, including leading India to victory in the U19 World Cup and a scintillating Test debut, showcased his immense potential.  However, his decline has been swift, leaving many to wonder if his career can be salvaged. While his talent remains undeniable, issues with fitness, off-field controversies, and inconsistent perfor?mances have significantly dented his reputation.

Prithvi Shaw’s domestic woes and IPL 2025 auction snub

Shaw’s domestic season in 2024 failed to inspire confidence, as he managed only 59 runs in four Ranji Trophy 2024-25 matches. His Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy performance was equally disappointing, with 197 runs across nine matches at an average of 21.88, failing to register a single half-century. B?arr?ing a 26-ball 49 in the quarterfinal, his contributions were largely forgettable, even as Mumbai clinched the title.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction further underscored his declining stature in Indian cricket, as no franchise showed interest in acquiring him. For a player once seen as a future Indian captain, this downfall serves as a stark remin??der of the unforgiving nature of the sport and the price of neglecting discipline and consistency.

Shreyas Iyer’s blunt remark

Mumbai captain Shreyas Iyer, a teammate of Shaw and the second-most expensive player in the IPL 2025 auction, weighed in on Shaw’s predicament with a mix of admiration and critique. Iyer described Shaw as “God-gifted,” emphasizing that his talent is unmatched, but talent without the right attitude and effort holds no value in the long term. According to Iyer, Shaw’s work ethic remains a major concern, and despite repeated advice from peers and coaches, he has struggled to adopt a professional mindset.

“I think, personally, he is a God-gifted player. The amount of talent he possesses as an individual, no one has it. That’s true. It’s just that he needs to improve his work ethics,” Iyer was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

Iyer highlighted that Shaw’s issues? are not new and that the batter has managed to overcome challenges in the past. However, he firmly stated that it is Shaw’s responsibility to take charge of his career, as no amount of ??external guidance can replace self-motivation and discipline.

“And I have said it before as well in many of the interviews. He needs to get his work ethics right. And if he does that, you know, sky is the limit for him. Can you force him to? I can’t force him. He has played so much of cricket. And everyone has given him inputs. At the end of the day, it’s his job to go out there and figure out things for himself,” the 30-year-old added.

Iyer’s hard-hitting reality check

Iyer’s comments about Shaw struck a chord with cricketing circles, as he bluntly stated that professionals at the highest level need to take ownership of their careers. “We can’t babysit anyone,” Iyer remarked, pointing out that Shaw must independently figure out the solutions to his struggles. Iyer acknowledged Shaw’s past successes but stressed that continuous effort is key to sustaining success in modern cricket. He ??noted that Shaw has received ample advice and guidance from teammates and coaches but ultimately must step up and resolve his issues.

“We can’t babysit anyone, right? Every professional who is playing at this level, they need to know what they should be doing. And he has also done it in the past. It’s not that he hasn’t. He has to focus. He has to sit back, put a thinking cap on and then figure out himself. He will get the answer. No one can force him to do anything,” Iyer concluded.

Can Shaw revive his career?

Shaw is now at a critical juncture where his career could either take a turn for the better or spiral further downward. Despite his struggles, Shaw still has age on his side and the potential to stage a comeback. To achieve this, he must undergo a complete transformation, focusing on fitness, refining? his technique, and building mental resilience.

Shaw must embrace the discipline required to compete at the highest level, seeking inspiration from players who have successfully revived their careers after setbacks. His next steps will determine whether he emerges as a story of redemption or remains a cautionary tal??e in Indian cricket.

Kevin Pietersen has offered a candid advice to Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw, who is curr??ently fac?ing significant challenges in his career.

Unsold in IPL 2025 auction, struggle with the bat in SMAT 2024/25

Shaw, once hailed as a prodigious talent after leading India’s U-19 team to World Cup glory in 2018, has seen his career take a downturn. At just 25 years old, he went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction, despite setting a base price of ?5 lakh. This lack of interest from fr?anchises has raised serious questions about his future in ?the sport.

Kevin Pietersen’s advice for Prithvi Shaw

In his post on X (formerly Twitter), Pietersen highlighted that Shaw’s off-field behaviour, particularly his engagement with social media, could be detrimental to his performance on the field. He stated that if Shaw had supportive individuals around him, they would advise him to “get off social media and train his absolute backside off” to regain his fitness and focus on cricket.

The former cricketer pointed out that comeback stories are often the most compelling in sports. He urged Shaw to channel his energies into rigorous training, believing that this would help him return to the path of success he once enjoyed. Pietersen expressed concern that Shaw is “too talented to throw it all away,” and encouraged him to surround himself with people who genuinely care? about h??is long-term success.

“Some of the greatest sports stories are COMEBACK stories. If Prithvi Shaw has decent people around him who care about his long term success, they’d sit him down, tell him to get off social media & train his absolute backside off in getting super fit. It’ll get him back into the correct path where past success can return. Too talented to throw it all away. Love, KP!” tweeted Pietersen.

Shaw’s recent performances have been lacklustre; he was dropped from Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy team due to fitness issues and has struggled in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT 2024), where he recorded a duck in one of his matches. His last appearance for the Indian national team was back in July 2021, highlighting a significant gap in his international career.

Once hailed as the next big thing in Indian cricket, Prithvi Shaw has found himself at a crossroads in his career. The young batter, who burst onto the scene with a stellar performance in the U-19 World Cup and a century on his Test debut, is now grappling with a series of disappointing performances. His latest outing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024 saw him getting dismissed for a duck against Services, further fuellin??g the concerns surrounding his f??orm and fitness.

A spree of disappointing performance by Prithvi Shaw

In the match held on December 3, 2024, Shaw faced just three deliveries before being bowled out by bowler Poonam Poonia without scoring a single run. This dismissal marks another low point in an already tumultuous season for Shaw, who has struggled to convert promising starts into substantial scores. His performances in the tournament have been underwhelming, with scores of 33, 0, 23, 40, and now another duck in five matches. Fans and critics alike took to social media to express their disappointment, with many trolling him for his continued inability to make ??an impact on the field.

The weight of expectations on Shaw

Shaw’s fall from grace has been exacerbated by off-field controversies and fitness issues. After being dropped from Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy squad due to concerns over his weight—reportedly having around 35% body fat—Shaw’s discipline has come under scrutiny. His childhood coach, Santosh Pingutkar, lamented that Shaw’s focus has shifted away from cricket towards distractions outside of the sport. Despite earning significant sums early in his career, including a lucrative IPL contract with Delhi Capitals, Shaw’s commitment to fitness and performance has faltered.

Shaw’s journey has not been without its share of controversies. From a doping ban that sidelined him for eight months to public altercations and disciplinary issues within teams, his career has been marred by incidents that overshadow his talent. The recent IPL auction saw him go unsold despite registering for a base price of INR 75 lakh, highlighting the growing disinterest from franchises in light of his inconsistent performances and off-field behaviour.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, delivered a series of surprises, but the biggest shocker was Indian batter Prithvi Shaw going unsold. Shaw, a right-handed batter who had been a part of the Delhi Capitals since 2018, failed to attract any bids, Shaw’s former coach, Jawala Singh, opened u??p about the reasons behind this decline.

Prithvi Shaw’s former coach shares insights on Indian batter decline

Jawal shared that Prithvi came to him in 2015 for guidance, as he hadn’t yet played Mumbai Under-16 matches. Over three years, Jawal worked hard to develop Prithvi’s talent, leading to his success in the Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy and eventually the Under-19 World Cup. Jawal fondly recalled celebrating Prithvi’s birthday before the World Cup but expressed disappointment that they lost contact after 2017.

Prithvi came to me in 2015 and was with me for three years. And when he came, he had not played Mumbai Under-16 matches, and his father asked me to guide him. Then in the next year, he played the Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy and scored big in selection matches. And I worked very hard on him. He was talented from the beginning; I will not take full credit because many coaches have worked for him, but at that time it was only me. I was excited when he played in the Under-19 World Cup because he was my first student to do so. Before leaving for the Under-19 World Cup, he had celebrated his birthday with me. But after that, I have not seen him; that was 2017, we are in 2024; I have not seen him; he has not come to me,” Jawal said in an interview with Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel.

Shaw’s comparison to the current Indian cricket sensation

Jawala also emphasized that talent is just the beginning, akin to seed, and turning it into success requires consistency, which stems from lifestyle, work ethic, and discipline. He noted that staying at the top in international cricket demands continuous improvement, citing Sachin Tendulkar as an example of someone who refined his skills, fitness, and mental toughness. Players falter when they deviate from this process. However, he praised Yashasvi Jaiswal for his excellent w?ork ethic and dedication, which set? him apart.

?em>I think the process, which we call work ethic, so I feel if you are talented, talent is just a seed; to make it a tree, consistency is very important in that journey, and that consistency comes from your lifestyle, your work ethic, and discipline, so what I feel is that consistency is not with him. One can make a great start, which he did, but to stay at the top in international cricket, one has to improve his game all the time. Even Sachin Tendulkar refined his game consistently, fine-tuned his game, and worked on his fitness and mental toughness. So, I feel a player goes off track only if he gets away from the process. You will not fall back if your process and work ethic are fine, so I feel players fail because of that. As far as Yashasvi is concerned, his work ethic is superb; he really works hard, and he knows what to do. That is the main difference,” he added.

Shaw’s declining IPL form and dropped from international cricket

Shaw’s recent performances in the IPL paint a worrying picture. In the IPL 2024 season, Shaw played just eight matches, managing a total of 198 runs, with a solitary half-century. This was only marginally better than his 2023 performance, where he scored 108 runs in the same number of matches, again with just one half-century – he lowest total runs in any IPL season for Shaw.

The dip in form is not restricted to the IPL. Shaw has been absent from international cricket since 2021, with his last appearance being an ODI match against Sri Lanka in July of that year. Dropped from the Indian squad and struggling in domestic cricket, Shaw’s career trajectory has raised q?uestions about his comm??itment and fitness.

Prithvi Shaw, once regarded as a cricketing prodigy, hit a significant low in his career when he went unsold at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

IPL 2025 mega auction: Disappointment for Prithvi Shaw

Shaw, who had a base price of just INR 75 lakh, failed to attract any bids, signaling a sharp decline in his market value. This setback comes after the 24-year-old opener was released by the Delhi Capitals (DC), a franchise he had been a part of since 2018. For a player who started his career with immense promi?se, this development highlights the growing questions surrounding his future in c?ompetitive cricket. Shaw’s exclusion from the auction is not just a reflection of his recent performances but also of underlying issues that have plagued his career.

A glittering start overshadowed by controversies

Shaw’s career began on a dream note. In 2018, he led India’s U19 team to an undefeated World Cup victory, earning widespread acclaim for his leadership and batting. His stellar performances caught the attention of IPL scouts, and he was picked up by the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) for INR 1.2 crore. By then, Shaw was a house??hold name, celebra??ted as one of Indian cricket’s brightest talents.

However, the rise was followed by a series of setbacks. In 2019, Shaw was handed an eight-month suspension by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for inadvertently consuming a banned substance found in cough syrup. Although Shaw maintained that the incident was accidental, the suspension tarnished his reputation. Over the next few years, his off-field b??ehavior, including reports of late-night parties and neglecting fitne??ss, further eroded trust among team management.

Instances that raised concerns

Shaw’s troubles weren’t confined to isolated incidents. During a practice match in Sydney in 2020, Ajinkya Rahane reportedly caught him feigning an injury to avoid fielding, raising questions about his dedication. In 2021, Ricky Ponting, then head coach of the Delhi,  publicly expressed frustration over Shaw’s refusal to attend extra net sessions despite being out of form. Such reports highlighted ??a troubling lack of focus and professionalism, compounding concerns over his attitude.

Shaw’s journey has been marred by controversies off the field as well. In 2023, he made headlines for an altercation with a social media influencer outside a hotel, further damaging his image. By 2024, his cricketing relevance had waned to the point where he was dropped from Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy squad, marking a significant fall from grace.

Fitness and lifestyle concerns

Apart from form and discipline, Shaw’s fitness has been a recurring issue. He reportedly failed the yo-yo test, an essential benchmark for professional cricketers, and faced body-shaming on social media. While his talent remains unquestioned, these concerns about his physica?l and mental preparedness have raised doubts about his ability to sustain a long-term career.

Shaw’s unsold status in the IPL 2025 auction represents more than a temporary setback – it underscores the precarious state of his cricketing journey. For a player who was once compared to legends like Sachin Tendulkar, this rapid fall from grace is as surprising as it is disappointing. Shaw’s story is a reminder of how quickly prodigious talent can fal?ter without focus, di??scipline, and consistent performances.

Glimmer of hope amidst challenges: A wake-up call for redemption

Despite the odds, Shaw’s career may?? not be over. At just 25 years of age, time is still on his side to make a comeback. His natural ability with the bat, particularly his explosive style of play, offers hope for a revival. However, for this to happen, Shaw must undertake a complete transformation—focusing on fitness, regaining form, and demonstrating a more professional approach both on and off the field.

The IPL 2025 auction could serve as a much-needed wake-up call for Shaw. For someone who once carried the weight of great expectations, this moment represents an opportunity to reassess his priorities and work on his shortcomings. W?hether Shaw can turn his career around will depend on his willingness to adapt and commit to the demands of modern cricket.

For now, Shaw’s journey ?stands as a cautionary tale-of how talent alone is not enough and how focus, discipline, and hard work are equally vital for sustained success in the competitive world of cricket. His supporters, while disheartened, will hope that this setback marks the beginning of a new chapter, one that sees Shaw rise? again and fulfill the promise he once showed.

betvisa cricketPrithvi Shaw – Cricket Times - betvisa cricket //betvisa68.com/2024/10/timeline-of-prithvi-shaws-journey-from-rising-star-to-troubled-talent/ Fri, 25 Oct 2024 02:45:29 +0000 //betvisa68.com/?p=160291

Prithvi Shaw, once heralded as one of India’s most promising cricketing talents, has found himself at a crossroads in his career. Recently omitted from Mumbai‘s Ranji Trophy squad, the reasons cited include poor fitness and irregular attendance at practice sessions. This development raises the question: what has gone wrong for this prodigious talent? Shaw’s journey from a schoolboy sensation to an international cricketer has been marred by a series of controversies that have overshadowed his undeniable talent.

The rise of Prithvi Shaw

Shaw first captured the cricketing world’s attention during his school days, where he consistently scored massive runs. His remarkable performances led to predictions of a bright international career. He made his Test debut in 2018, scoring a century in his first match against the West Indies, which further fuelled expectations. However, despite this promising start, Shaw’s international career has largely stagnated, with only 12 matches played and his last appearance over three years ago.

Early setbacks: Injuries and focus Issues

In November 2018, just months after his debut, Shaw was selected for the Australian tour but suffered an ankle injury during training. This unfortunate incident ruled him out of the first Test and led to reports suggesting he was “losing focus.” Although Shaw dismissed these claims as mere speculation, they set a troubling precedent for what was to come.

Shaw’s career has been punctuated by various incidents that have raised eyebrows regarding his professionalism and commitment to the sport.

The doping scandal puts in a halt for 8 months

In July 2019, Shaw faced a significant setback whe??n he was suspended for eight months after testing positive for Terbutaline, a banned substance found in certain cough syrups. He claimed the positive result was due to an over-the-counter medication taken ??for a common cold. However, this incident marked the beginning of a troubling trend in his career.

The Ajinkya Rahane incident

In December 2020, as R Shridhar mentioned in his book, former Indian captain Ajinkya Rahane publicly called out Shaw during a warm-up game in Sydney. After being hit on the shin pad while fielding, Shaw attempted to leave the field, but Rahane confronted him, insisting he stay on the field. This incident highlighted not only Shaw’s attempts to evade responsibility but also raised questions about his mental fortitude in the minds of cricketing fans.

Criticism from Ricky Ponting as a coach

Ricky Ponting, who coached Shaw at Delhi Capitals in the IPL, expressed disappointment over Shaw’s training methods in April 2021. Ponting noted that when Shaw struggled with his batting form, he would refuse to practice instead of working through his difficulties. This attitude frustrated Ponting and signalled deeper issues with Shaw’s approach to improvement.

Legal troubles and public altercations in COVID-19 lockdown

Shaw’s off-field issues took a more serious turn in May 2021 wh?en he was stopped by police for violating COVID-19 travel regulations while attempting to travel from Maharashtra to Goa without an e-pass. This incident further tarnished his public image.

The selfie controversy in Mumbai

In February 2023, an altercation involving fans escalated into violence when Shaw was attacked after refusing additional selfie requests outside a hotel in Mumbai. The situation culminated in damage to his friend’s car and allegations of harassment against him by a social media influencer. This incident not only highlighted Shaw’s struggles with fame but also brought legal scrutiny into his life.

Mental health struggles and body shaming

As recently as August 2023, while performing well in England’s One-Day Cup—where he became the first Indian batter to score two List A double centuries—Shaw faced severe body shaming on social media. The negative comments about his physique reportedly affected his mental health significantly, showcasing how external pressures can impact athletes’ performance and well-being.

The current situation: Omitted from Ranji Trophy squad

In October 2024, following lacklustre performances in the Ranji Trophy season—where he scored only 59 runs across four innings—Shaw was dropped from Mumbai’s squad for their third-round match against Tripura. Reports indicate that this decision was influenced by concerns over his fitness levels and commitment to practice sessions. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) stated ??that dropping him serv?es as a necessary lesson for the young player.

While some sources claim that Shaw has been “given a break,” it is clear that this omission is more than just a temporary measure; it reflects ongoing disciplinary issues that have plagued him throughout his career. As senior team members maintain consistent training regimens, Shaw’s irregular attendance raises alarms about his future in professional cricket.

Prithvi Shaw has been dropped from Mumbai’s squad for their upcoming Ranji Trophy match against Tripura, reportedly due to disciplinary issues. Although the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has not provided an official reason, it is reported that the 24-year-old’s behaviour both on and off the field has frustrated the team management and selectors.

Shortly after news of his exclusion surfaced, Shaw posted a four-letter message on Instagram, stating, “Need a break thx,” followed by a smiling emoji. Thi??s post came just hours before repo?rts confirmed his omission from the squad.

Disciplinary action taken again Prithvi Shaw

Media reports suggest that Shaw’s exclusion stems from concerns over his commitment to fitness and practice. The team management, including captain Ajinkya Rahane and head coach Omkar Salvi, were said to be dissatisfied with his attitude towards net practice, where Shaw has been either skipping sessions or not taking them seriously. While top players like Rahane, Shreyas Iyer and Shardul Thakur have been consistent?ly attending a??nd working hard in the nets, Shaw has reportedly been getting out cheaply and failing to put in sufficient effort.

Shaw’s fitness has also been a cause for concern. According to reports, he was deemed overweight by Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) trainers, who found that his body contained 35 percent fat. As a result, he has been asked to f?ollow ??a two-week fitness program prepared by the MCA.

Shaw’s struggle with the bat

Shaw, who made his India Test debut against the West Indies in Rajkot in 2018, has seen his career decline due to off-field issues. In the two Ranji Trophy matches he has played this season, his scores have been underwhelming – 7 and 12 against Baroda, and 1 and 39 not out against Maharashtra.

As the right-handed batter aiming for a comeback to the national team through consistent performances in domestic cricket, Shaw’s recent form isn’t doing much to strengthen his case. He may also lose his place in the Delhi Capitals (DC) squad as the franchise is looking to retain only Rishabh Pant, Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Abishek Porel among the Indian players.
