England’s left-arm spinner Jack Leach bowled an absolute beauty to remove the Australian opener Marcus Harris on Day 2 of the third Ashes Test at Headingley.

Leach was brought into the attack by skipper Joe Root in the 11th over, and the Englishman lived up to his captain’s decision by scalping Harris on his very first delivery of the match.

Producing a moment of magic, Leach castled Harris when he enticed the Aussie southpaw to anticipate a cover drive. Harris leaned forward and was resolute in pushing the ball near the cover region but was beaten all ends up. The ball hit the rough patch, moved in between the bat and the pad, and ended up knocking the ?bails.

England p?layers were all delighted after watching this peach of a delivery and applauded Leach for his brilliance.

Australia opener Marcus Harris on Saturday missed out on a hundr?ed at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Day 3 of the fourth and final Test against India.

Harris? (79) scored his second Test half-century in the morning session, but was out within three ov??ers on resumption, playing a rash shot off Ravindra Jadeja.

The last ball of the 43rd over during Australia’s first innings was well tossed up by Jadeja and it went with the angle.

Harris wasn’t fully forward nor back and pushed the ball well away from his body only to inside edge it on to his leg-stump.

“I got out playing a pretty half-arsed shot. I am more disappointed in myself than anything. I think it is always a goal against the spinners is to be aggressive early and once you’re able to get those sweepers out, it is to be able to hit them hard and just not milk them as much as you can,” said Harris at stumps on day three.

Australia opener Marcus Harris will want to forget his dismissal in the second Test agai??nst India at the Perth Stadium on Sunday.

The left??-hander appeared to be lining up awkward Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah relatively well until he? chose the wrong delivery to leave.

It’s not as if the length ball from Bumrah – delivered from around the wicket – did all that much off the pitch. But Harris thought it would shape away or bounce over the wickets.

However, the 26-y??ear-old was sent back into the hut on 20 when the Kookaburra ball kissed t??he bails near off-stump.

Australian open??er Marcus Harris was hit flush on the helmet by a vicious bouncer from Jasprit Bumrah on the third day of the second Test in Perth.

Harris was batting on four early in Australia’s second innings when the incident took place.

Indian speedster Bumrah dug in a sh??ort ball and Harris got himself in an awkward position while attempting to move? out of the way.

The ball cannoned into the side of Harris’ helmet, with the left-hander losing his balance as Team India players and umpires showed concern for the 26-year-old.

The nasty bounce?r thankfully did no damage and Harris continued to bat after a brief check-up ?with the Aussie physiotherapist.
