For a fleeting moment, the ball seemed destined for the boundary, but Dawson had other plans. Sprinting to his right, Dawson stuck out his weaker hand and la?tched onto the ball, defying logic and physics. The fact that the ball had already gone past him when he made the grab elevated the effort to one of the finest catches of the tournament so far.

Sunrisers’ dominance in the game

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape bowlers, led by the efforts of Marco Jansen and Gleeson, capitalized on the early breakthroughs, bundling out the Durban Super Giants for a paltry 115/8 in 20 overs. Kane Williamson‘s patient 44 was the only bright spot for the batting side, while Naveen-ul-Haq’s late cameo of 30 off 15 balls provided some resistance.

In reply, the Sunrisers chased down the target comfortably in 15.2 overs, with David Bedingham’s fiery 39 off 20 balls and Aiden Markram’s composed 31 off 20 sealing the victory.
