Toss decision pays rich dividends for RCB
RCB captain had no hesitation in putting Delhi in to bat, backing her pace attack to exploit the conditions. The move proved spot on, as the new-ball bowlers extracted movement and bounce, making life uncomfortable for DC’s star-studded batting lineup right from the outset.

Lauren Bell sets the tone with dream first over by dismissing Lizelle Lee and Laura Wolvaardt
England pacer Bell delivered a sensational opening over that turned the match on its head. Bowling with pace, accuracy and movement, Bell struck twice to leave Delhi reeling.
On the third ball of the first over, Bell dismissed Lizelle Lee with a pinpoint yorker. Lee shuffled across her stumps in an attempt to flick the ball away, only to miss completely as the delivery crashed into leg stump. The early breakthrough sparked loud celebrations in the RCB camp and gave Bell immediate control.
Just two deliveries later, Bell produced an even more spectacular dismissal to send back Laura Wolvaardt. Bowling a full, seam-up delivery that swung sharply back in, Bell beat Wolvaardt’s drive and shattered the middle stump. The sight of two off-stumps lying flat summed up RCB’s dream start and DC’s nightmare beginning.
