Event finds a new home after postponement

The second edition of the tournament was originally scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka in June last year. However, the event was postponed following a request from Sri Lanka Cricket due to persistent adverse weather conditions and concerns related to public health after the spread of chikungunya in the country. The decision to shift the tournament to Bangkok has provided a fresh start, with Thailand emerging as a reliable host for regional and age-group events in recent years.
