The Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025, a newly revamped version of the former Asia Cup Emerging Teams tournament, is all set to begin on Friday, November 14, in Doha. With eight exciting teams participating, the tournament promises to showcase the next generation of Asian cricket talent in a fast-paced T20 format.

With cricketing powerhouses like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka sending strong squads alongside competitive sides from UAE, Oman, Afghanistan and Hong Kong, the tournament promises a perfect blend of skill, excitement and unpredictability.

Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025: Format

The eight participating teams have been divided into two groups of four:

Group A

  • Bangladesh A
  • Afghanistan A
  • Sri Lanka A
  • Hong Kong

Group B

  • India A
  • Pakistan A
  • UAE
  • Oman

Each team will face the other three teams in their group once. After the group stage, the top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.

  • The Group A winner will take on the Group B runner-up
  • The Group B winner will face the Group A runner-up

The winners of these semifinals will then meet in the final, where the Rising Stars champion will be crowned.

Afghanistan A, the defending champions from the previous edition, enter the tournament with confidence – but their title defense will not be easy. With India A fielding one of their strongest squads in years, the clash for the trophy is expected to be intense.
