Pat Cummins’ brilliant delivery removes Shai Hope
The moment took place in the second session of Day 2, when a delivery showcased Cummins’ brilliance yet again. Coming from over the wicket, Cummins got the ball to nip back sharply into the right-hander. Hope, expecting it to hold its line, played for the angle, but the ball came in, pierced the bat-pad gap and rattled the off-stump. Cummins celebrated in style after removing the Hope, knowing the importance of that breakthrough. His fiery spell not only lifted Australia but also reminded everyone why he remains one of the most reliable match-winners in Test cricket.

Australia get a handy lead, West Indies grab early breakthroughs
The second day of this high-stakes Test delivered another day of exceptional cricket. The hosts, West Indies, came out to bat trailing by 286 runs. On a surface that is offering significant help for the bowlers, the West Indian batters put up a fight yet fell short by 33 runs — a handy lead for the visitors. Brandon King was phenomenal again with his gritty 70-run knock. Apart from him, none of the West Indian batters managed to reach a half-century.
Meanwhile, in the third innings, the story remained the same for the visitors as both openers got out early. Sam Konstas failed again with the bat going for a duck, and Usman Khawaja was trapped in front by Jayden Seales for just 2 runs. The collapse led Australia to send their nightwatchman, Nathan Lyon to the crease to survive the fiery fast bowling. Australia eventually finished on 12 for 2 with a lead of 45 runs at the end of Day 2.
