The fans are gearing up for the third Test between England and India, set to take place from July 10 at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. As discussions around pitch conditions and team combinations intensify, former England batter and a respected cricket voice Kevin Pietersen has also shared his views on India’s potential playing XI for the crucial clash.

In recent event ‘YOUWECAN CHARITY GALA’ in London, Peterson talked about Kuldeep Yadav inclusion in the India’s playing XI. Pietersen emphasized the importance of including Kuldeep in the playing XI, stating that India, having lost one Test and won another, appear to be lacking a certain degree of variation in their attack. He believes Kuldeep’s inclusion could provide the variety India currently seems to be missing.

“They need to play him. India lost a Test match, won a Test match and I think they are missing some sort of variation. I think they are missing variation,” Kevin Pietersen was . Apart from him, many cricketing legends like Sunil Gavaskar and Brad Haddin have backed Kuldeep for a place in the team, as his inclusion has been a hot topic of discussion throughout the series.

Pietersen also recalls IPL 2025 chats with the player

Pietersen further added that he had spent time with Kuldeep during his stint as a mentor with Delhi Capitals(DC) during IPL 2025, discussing tactics and the nuances of bowling in English conditions. He mentioned having several conversations about how and where to bowl, highlighting Kuldeep’s passion for the game and his love for taking wickets. Pietersen expressed his desire to see his friend in action, stating that he doesn’t enjoy seeing his buddies on the bench.

“I sat with him a couple of times when I was mentor with the Delhi Capitals, and I discussed bowling in England with him. I discussed tactics. I had a lot of chat on how to bowl and where to bowl. We spent a lot of time and it will just be nice to see him play. It would be lovely to see him play. He loves bowling, he loves taking wickets. And I want to see my buddy play. I don’t like my buddies on the bench,” Peterson further said.
