FIR filed against Yash Dayal for alleged sexual exploitation
A senior police officer told to media that an FIR has been registered against cricketer Yash Dayal at PS Indirapuram, under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Section 69, on charges of sexual exploitation, physical violence, mental harassment and cheating by making false promises of marriage by a woman.
In the FIR, the woman alleged that Dayal engaged in a physical relationship with her over a long period by misleading her with promises of marriage. She claimed he introduced her to his family, who gave her the impression that she would eventually become their daughter-in-law. According to her, she remained fully committed to the relationship, both emotionally and mentally.
“I was in a relationship with him for the past 5 years. He had physical relations with me under the false promise of marriage. He introduced me to his family and they treated me like their daughter-in-law. But, the truth is that he used the relationship for just physical and mental exploitation. Whenever I questioned him about his relations with other women, I was subjected to physical torture,” the FIR stated as reported by NDTV.
Woman also accuses Dayal for mental manipulation
The woman further alleged that Yash Dayal later apologized in an attempt to manipulate her emotionally. She claimed his actions left her mentally shattered, eroding her self-confidence and creating a sense of dependency—both financially and emotionally. She also stated that the psychological torment pushed her to the brink multiple times, leading her to attempt suicide on several occasions as she struggled to cope with the mental suffering.
“But he apologised later to manipulate me. I was mentally broken due to this behaviour. He broke my self-confidence and made me dependent on him – both financially and mentally. I was suffering from depression for quite some time and it was difficult for me to lead a normal life. I tried to hurt commit suicide on multiple occassions because I was unable to deal with the mental torture,” she added further.
