The seventh encounter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was a riveting clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Amidst the full-tilt game, one of the most exciting moments was during the 12th over of LSG’s innings when Harshal Patel executed a stunning catch to send Ayush Badoni back to the pavilion off the bowling of Adam Zampa.
A moment of brilliance by Harshal Patel
In the last ball of the 12th over, leg-spinner Zampa bowled a well-concealed googly on 🙈a fuller length outside off. Badoni, eager to pick up the scoring rate, read the variation correctly and tried a slog sweep. But he could only get a top edge, and the ball went high towards deep mid-wicket.
Patel, who w♉as in the deep, responded quickly. He ran forward with his eyes fixed on the ball and his dive impeccably timed. Inches off the ground, he pounced on the ball with both hands to make an outstanding catch. The ball was dying on him, but his anticipation and quickness helped pull off a clean dismissal. With this, Badoni was forced to return to the pavilion after scoring six runs off six balls, including one solitary boundary.
