Gujarat Giants (GG) registered a comprehensive six-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 12th match of the at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday, February 28. The game saw some intense moments, including a sensational yorker by Kashvee Gautam that knocked over Richa Ghosh, further tilting the match in Gujarat’s favour.

Winning the toss, Gujarat Giants opted to field first, a decision that proved to be instrumental in restricting RCB’s batting lineup. Their bowlers displayed a disciplined 𝐆performance, stifling RCB’s batters and ensuring they couldn’t accelerate at any point during their innings.

RCB had a rocky start as they lost early wickets, making it difficult for them to build momentum. Wickets at regular intervals never allowed them to break free, despite efforts from Kanika Ahuja, who top-scored with 33 runs. Richa attemp🍨ted to stabilize the innings, but her stay at the crease was cut short by a breathtaking delivery from Kashvee.

The defining moment of the first innings came in the 15th over, on the last ball, when Kashvee  delivered a pinpoint yorker. Richa, attempt🔯ing an off-side drive, failed to bring her bat down in time, resulting in the ball crashing into the off-stump. The Giants’ bowler erupted in celebration as the crowd acknow🍎ledged her brilliance. Ghosh departed after scoring 9 runs off 10 balls, including one six, leaving RCB struggling to post a competitive total.

Ashleigh Gardner led the charge with a magnificent 58-run♕ knock, supported by Phoebe Litchfield, who remained unbeaten on 30. Their pa♔rtnership ensured that Gujarat maintained control throughout the chase. Despite a few hiccups, Gujarat reached the target comfortably in 16.3 overs, .

Renuka Singh provided some resistance with the ball for RCB, claiming two wickets for 24 runs, but her efforts weren’t enough to prevent GG from sealiꦇng the win.
