The dreadful performance from the English opener in the Women’s Ashes 2025 continued as she was sent back to the pavilion early in the 2nd innings in England’s quest to somehow save the Test match after a assertive performance from the home side with the bat to score 440 runs on the board in their 1st innings and put together a lead of 270 runs for E𝕴ngland to chase down.
The incident occurred early on the 4th over the 2nd English innings. A late in-swinger from Brown was completely misjudged by Bouchier which missed her bat complܫetely and struck her middle-stump instead. The English batter was dismissed for the 8th time in this series showcasing her disappointing form in this series.

England sustain a massive defeat
After Bouchier’s early dismissal, Tamsin Beaumont and skipper Heather Knight tried to stabilize the England’s innings in their attempt to prevent the humiliation of a complete white-wash at the hands o0f the Australian side. However, the partnership finally ended after Ashleigh Gardner sent Knight back to the pavilion. The two batters added 73 runs between them. Evantually, England were bundled out for 148 in their second innings, losing the game by ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚan innings and 122 runs.
