Ellyse Perry claimed her second Player of the Tournament award, sharing the honour with Jess Jonassen in a historic tie for ꦦthe ꧅league’s top individual award.
Both Perry, representing Sydney Sixers, and Jonassen, a key player for Brisbane Heat, accumulated 25 votes each during the 10-game home-and-away season, finishing six points ahead of Sydney Thunder’s spinner Samantha Bates.
Jonassen, the WBBL’s all-time leading wicket-taker with 179 dismissals, claimed the award f⛎or the first time, while Perry previously won the accolade in WBBL|04. This marked the first𝄹-ever tie for the prestigious Player of the Tournament honour in the league’s history.
