In a one-sided affair at Stormont, England Women secured a comprehensive 275-run win over Ireland Women in the second ODI of their three-match series. Experienced opener Tammy Beaumont starred with an unbeaten 150, her 10th൲ ODI century, to power England to a mammoth 320/8 in thei⛄r 50 overs.
Tammy Beaumont shines with record-breaking ton
Beaumont’s brilliant knock came off just 139 balls and included 16 fours and a solitary six. She became the first Englishwoman to score 10 ODI centuries, surpassing the likes of Nat Sciver-Brunt and Charlotte Edwards. Her innings was the foundation for England’s imposing total after they elected to bat first upon winning the toss.
Freya Kemp provided able support with a 47-ball 65, which included 7 fours and 2 sixes. The 19-year-old all-rounder has been in fine form and her innings showcase🐼d her talen🦩t and potential.

Chasing an improbable target, Ireland’s batting lineup crumbled under the pressure. They were , their lowest ever ODI total. Kate Cross and Lauren Filer were the chief architects of Ireland’s downfall, both picking up 3 wickets each.

The victory, England’s biggest in women’s ODIs in terms of runs, sealed the series for the visitors with a game to spare. It was a largely second-string England team that achieved this result, with the majority of the rested.
