Southern captain James Vince delivered a masterful batting performance, leading his team to 139/5 against Welsh in Monday’s The Hundred match. Vince scored an unbeaten 73 from 50 balls, including three sixes and seven boundaries. Meanwhile, Leus du Plooy (21) Kieron Pollard (17) and Alex Davies (16) also chipped in their contributions. Leus du Plooy’s gigantic six off Haris Rauf
Southern’s batter du Plooy delivered a spectacular six off Haris Rauf, launching the ball out of the ground. This incredible incident took place on the 44th ball of Brave’s innings. Rauf bowled a low full-toss outside off, and du Plooy struck it perfectly, sending the ball soaring straight down the ground and out of the stadium. Du Plooy scored 21 off 13 with a single four and two sixes.
The 93m six landed into the river Taff. Though, Rauf conceded two sixes, he still finished with impressive figures of 2/22 off 20 balls, including the prized scalp of Pollard. So ꦉnow, the Pakistani pacer has exceeded his wicket tally to🌱 seven in just three games.

Apart from Rauf, Matt Henry, David Payne and Luke Wells bagged one wicket each for Welsh Fire.
In the post-match interview, Rauf explained how he bounced back after getting hit in his initial deliveries. “The hard length is working, so try to hit that. One side is the big side, so used that boundary, used the variation and it worked. We have a good batting side and I hope we chase it,” he said.
