Australian superstar Ellyse Perry reveals her retirement plans and thoughts on the 2028 Olympics

“I don’t think I’m the kind of person that wants to pin a date on a retirement. I’ve never looked at it like that. If I’m still there and available and good enough, I’d like to be there. I haven’t set a target on playing at the Olympics, but if I’m still around and good enough, I’d absolutely love to be there,” Perry said.

Perry’s enthusiasm for the Olympics is fueled by her success at the Commonwealth Games 2022, where she won gold with Australia. She is excited about cricket’s debut at the Los Angeles Olympics after a 128-year absence and has backed herself to be part of the squad.
