“Was certainly pretty fortunate with the conditions and with Saurabh [Netravalkar] taking consistent wickets at the top. It’s been amazing how we controlled the bowling innings by taking consistent wickets,” Maxwell said in the post-match presentation.
When asked about the pitch conditions in the USA, the Aussie all-rounder remarked: “Slightly different conditions to the IPL, felt I was able to put the ball on a T in the IPL. Was a good day and nice to go a bit clear at the top as well. I’m absolutely loving not having a bat, nice to give the body a bit of a break.”
However, the true highlight of the night came after the presentation ceremony. ಌAs Maxwell was handed the Player of the Match award, he surprised everyone by gifting a young fan his prize.
