He also discussed his experience as captain in the IPL “He also led the team well in the IPL and here, especially after the tough first game. The way we came back as a team and the way he helped us on the field and off the field with his leadership skills has been amazing.” Sundar said.

Washington Sundar shines with stellar bowling performance
India set a formidable target of 183 runs for Zimbabwe, largely due to a stellar batting display by captain Gill, who scored a vital half-century. Ruturaj Gaikwad also played a significant role, contributing a quickfire 49 runs off just 28 balls, significantly boosting India’s total score.
In the second innings, Sundar’s bowling prowess was on full display. Sundar delivered an exceptional 4-over spell, taking three crucial wickets while conceding only 15 runs, achieving an impressive economy rate of 3.75. His pivotal wicket of Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza was instrumental in halting Zimbabwe’s momentum, restricting them to 159/6.
