Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, India Women displayed exceptional bowling discipline. emerged as the wrecker-in-chief, claiming a stellar 4/13 spell within just 3.1 overs. The South African batting line-up crumbled under pressure, with only Tazmin Brits (20 runs) and Anneke Bosch (17 runs) managing to cross the ten-figure mark. The entire team was bundled out for a meager 84 runs in 17.1 overs. Other Indian bowlers, including Radha Yadav (3/6), chipped in with crꦜucial wickets, restricting the visitors to a below-par total.

Smriti Mandhana takes India over the finish line

In response, the Indian openers, Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana, stitched together a match-winning partnership. Verma struck a brisk 27 runs off 25 b🎃alls, while Mandhana anchored the chase with a sublime 54 runs off 40 deliveries, including eight fours and two sixes.
