Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur shine with respective centuries

Laura Wolvaardt and Marizanne Kapp’s tons in vain
South Africa Women came close to chasing down the mammoth target, thanks to a magnificent century from Laura Wolvaardt (135 off 135 balls), who struck 12 fours and 3 sixes. An equally impressive knock from Marizanne Kapp (114 off 94 balls), studded with 11 fours and 3 sixes, kept them in the hunt. However, India’s bowlers clawed their way back in the later stages, with Pooja Vastrakar (2/54) and Deepti Sharma (2/56) picking up crucial wickets.
Mandhana, who shone with both bat and ball (1 wicket for 13 runs), was deservedly named Player of the Match. With this win, Ind𒁏ia took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
