Yograj Singh, former Indian cricketer and father of legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, has reignited his long-standing feud with MS Dhoni.
Yograj Singh blasts MS Dhoni once again
In a viral video, Yograj made a series of sensational claims, linking India’s potential success in the T20 World Cup 2024 to Dhoni’s absence and even blaming him for the Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) poor performance in IPL 2024.
Yograj, kno🐠wn for his past criticism of Dhoni, made a♌ passionate but unsubstantiated statement.
“As an Indian, I want India to win,” he declared. “The whole world is saying it – even Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma. Now that MS Dhoni is not there, India should win the World Cup.”
He went on to create a controversial connection between Dhoni and CSK’s struggles.
“CSK lost IPL 2024. Why did they lose? It’s simple. What goes around, comes around. Yuvraj Singh is the ICC Ambassador, hats off to him! And this jealous Dhoni, where is he? He didn’t even shake hands with Yuvraj, and that’s the reason why CSK failed this year,” the cricketer-turned-actor remarked.

This outburst is not Yograj’s first attack on Dhoni. Previously, he accused Dhoni of intentionally underperforming in the 2019 World Cup semi-final against New Zealand to prevent the then India captain Virat Kohli from lifting the coveting trophy. In several other interviews, Yograj even blamed Dhoni for Yuvraj’s early retirement from international.
Yograj’s fiery comments have sparked debate among cricket fans and analysts. While some support his right to express his opinion, others find his accusations unsubstantiated and disrespectful towards the World Cup-winning Indian skipper.
