As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 reaches its climactic stage, three teams remain in contention for the prestigious trophy. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have already secured their place in the final, while Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are set to clash in Qualifier 2 to d🅺etermine the second finalist.
Brett Lee picks the IPL 2024 winner
With the ultimate winner of the 17th season still undecided, cricket experts have begun sharing their predictions. Former Australian pacer Brett Lee and ex-Sri Lanka cricketer Tillakaratne Dilshan have both revealed their picks for the title.
Lee had initially placed his hopes on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), but they were knocked out by Rajasthan in the Eliminator. Reflecting on the remaining teams, Lee🌟 identified the Knight Riders as the team to clinch the title this season.
“I picked RCB right from the top and I was disappointed when they got knocked out last night. But if you look on paper and in its current form, it will be tough to beat KKR. I think they’re probably the team that deserves to finish at the number one position. They’re straight through the finals on Sunday, so they’ll be pretty hard to beat,” said Lee as quoted by ANI.

Tillakaratne Dilshan reveals his choice
Echoing Lee’s sentiments, Dilshan also tipped KKR as the favorites, citing their consistent performance throughout the season. He noted that while Rajasthan have shown moments of brilliance, their inconsistency could be their downfall.
“I think, according to me, consistently performing KKR doing well throughout the tournament. RR played very good, they played very good cricket. But when you are going halfway through, a little bit they are up and down. But KKR doing consistently, they are performing in all three departments, bowling, batting and failing. Hopefully, my view, I think, is KKR going to win this IPL,” said Dilshan.
As SRH and RR prepare to face off in Qualifier 2, both teams are aware that a spot in the final is at stake. Sunrisers will look to recover from their recent loss to Knight Riders in Qualifier 1, w𓄧hile Rajasthan aim to build on their momentum following a thrilling win against RCB.
