During a recently-concluded Chennai Super Kings (CSK) match against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium, Meher, a young cricket enthusiast, received a surprise gift from the veteran crickꩲeter.
Dhoni, known for his cool demeanor and sportsmanship, spotted Meher in the stands. While walking back to the change room following his cameo that included three sixes off the last over of CSK innings bowled by MI skipper Hardik Pandya, Dhoni noticed a cricket ball lying on the stairs. Instead of walking past it, Dhoni picked up the ball and made a special detour towards Meher, who was sitting on the shoulders of her father. “My name is Mehar. I am the same lucky girl to whom Dhoni uncle gave this ball. I play cricket and it is my dream that if I play for India, I will gift this ball to someone,” said Meher.
