On the third day of the Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka second Test match, a similar incident took place. Bangladesh fielders got involved in a very bizarre incident in which five fielders ran after th🐻e ball to save a boundary. So🐻on after this, cricket fans started trolling Bangladesh players for their act.
Never seen before on-field decision-making
This fielding blunder was seen in the 20th over of Sri Lanka’s second innings. At that time, Sri Lanka were 90 for 6 with just four wickets remaining in hand, hoping for cemented innings from Prabath Jayasuriya and Angelo Mathews.
When Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud bowled the second ball of his over, Jayasuriya hit it in the gully region, triggering five fielders to run after the boll to prevent a bouꦺndary, which they eventually did only to give a couple of runs to the visitors.
