Highest powerplay score for the Sunrisers
Earlier in the ininngs, SRH set a new record for powerplay record for themselves by scoring 81/1 in the first six overs. Head was at the forefront, scoring 62 off just 24 ﷽balls in this phase. His unbeaten 59 in the powerplay becomes the second-highest score by an SRH batter in this period.
SRH continued to pile on the runs, reaching a massive 148/2 at the halfway mark – the highest team total after 10 overs in IPL history. They didn’t relent in the death overs either, adding a further 75 runs in the final five overs to put Hardik Pandya‘s MI under immense pressure.
