South Africa announce squads for multi-format series against India; Temba Bavuma dropped from ODIs

For the upcoming multi-format series against India, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced their men’s squads for the Test, One-Day International (ODIꩵ) and Twenty20 International (T20I) formats. The notable exclusion from the ODI squad is Temba Bavuma, who led th🥂e Proteas side in the recently-concluded World ꦍCup.

Bavuma’s recent form in ODIs has been under scrutiny, leading the selectors to make a bold decision in favour of Reeza Hendricks, who impressed with his performances 💫in limited opportunities.

So now, Aiden Markram will captain South Afri🐷ca in both T20Is and ODIs, while the Test squad𓄧 will be led by Bavuma.

South Africa are scheduled to play three T20Is, three ODIs and 2 Tests against🌞 India from December 10, 2023 to J💞anuary 7, 2024.
