Regular skipper Bavuma sustained an injury during the first Test and went off the field. Dean Elgar, who will bid farewell to international cricket after the ongoing Test series, assumed the role of the captain in South Africa’s win by an innings and 32 runs at SuperSport Park, Centurion.
On the other hand, Cortzee, who made an impressive international debut recently, has also been sidelined due to injury concerns. The fast bowler w𒐪ill be missing the Cape Town Test after developing pelvic inflammation during the Centurion Test.
