Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli: Indian superstars shine
Throughout their extraordinary journey in the competition, two key players have stood out as the superstars of the Indian team – Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Both senior players have been exceptional and remarkabl🦩y consistent in their performance🐷s.
Kohli has accumulated 354 runs in 6 games, boasting an impressive average of 88.50. On the other hand, Rohit has scored 398 runs at an average of 66.33. They are currently the leading run-scorer🅺s for India in this global cricketing event, and the cricketing world anticipates their run tally to increase even further.
A tough choice: Rohit or Virat for top scorer
Deciding between Rohit and Kohli for the title of top run-scorer is a challenging task, given their splendid form and consistency. In response to this perplexing question, former England cricketer and renowned commentator Mark Nicholas has provided his perspective.
Nicholas acknowledged that both Rohit and Virat are world-class players, and each possesses unique strengths. He highlighted Rohit’s exceptional ability to assess the pitch and tailor his game accordingly, exemplified by his recent performance against England. Nicholas also praised Kohli as the greatest run-chaser in the game.

Mark Nicholas reveals his pick
Nicholas suggested that determining who will score more runs between the two might come down to the opportunities they receive and how effe🦋ctively they capitalize on them. He expressed the view that both Rohit and Kohli could end up with a similar number of runs by the end of the tou♉rnament.
“It’s impossible to call, you know they’re both world-class players, two of the great players ever. Rohit’s ability to judge a pitch and then play to it is second to none; we saw that against England the other night, and Virat’s the greatest run-chaser of them all,” stated Nicholas.
“So it’s a question more of opportunity, which opportunities will they be given and whether they take them. They could end up with very much the same amount of runs, I think,” added Nicholas.
