Netherlands struggle against England’s clinical bowling
In reply, the Netherlands faced a steep target of 340 runs. The English bowlers were relentless and kept the pressure on. Scott Edwards and Wesley Barresi tried to hold the innings together with scores of 38 and 37, respectively. However, the Netherlands batsmen couldn’t find the necessary momentum to chase down the imposing target.
Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid were the standout bowlers for England, each picking up three wickets and effectively stifling the Netherlands’ batting lineup. With the win, England sailed to the seventh spot in the points table and keept their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 qualification hopes alive.
