Sara Tendulkar takes a stand against her fake Twitter accounts
Expressing concern over the misleading information being c༒irculated, Sara Tendulkar has taken to social media to 🌳address the matter.
Several fake Twitter accounts purportedly belonging to Sara have 🅘surfaced, disseminating false information and sharing deepfake photꩲos of her. Deepfake technology involves the creation of realistic-looking but entirely fabricated content, often in the form of images or videos.
Sara, through her official Instagram handle, shared her disappointment with the situation. “Social media is a wonderful space for all of us to share our joys, sorrows and daily activities. However, it is disconcerting to see the misuse of technology as it takes away from the truth and authenticity of the internet. I have come across some deepfake photos of me which are far from reality,” she captioned her post.

‘Entertainment should never come at the expense of the truth’: Sara Tendulkar
Sara further added, “A few accounts on X (formerly Twitter) have obviously been been created with an intent to impersonate me and mislead people. I do not have an account on X, and I hope X looks into such accounts and suspends them. Entertainment should never come at the expense of the truth. Let’s encourage communication that’s based in trust and reality.”
This incident highlights the growing concern of online impersonation and the misuse of deepfake technology to create deceptive content. The Tendulkar family has been known for maintaining a priv🧔ate and reserved presence on social media, and instances of impersonation are viewed seriously.
Twitter has been notified, and e✤fforts are underway to curb the spread of misinformation through these fake accounts.
