The defining moment arrived in the 47th over when Klaasen achieved his coveted century. His animated and exuberant celebration, including a resounding roar directed at England’s Wood, became the talking point of the fixture. Nevertheless, Klaasen, who grappled with cramps throughout his explosive innings, later extended an apology to Wood.

“Heinrich Klaasen’s animated celebration is quite understandable. I feel milestones like hundreds and five-wicket hauls are important. Emotions are bound to come out when you reach these milestones,” Sreesanth was quoted as saying by Sportskeeda.

He further expressed his admiration for Klaasen’s willingness to acknowledge his actions and extend an apology.
“We all understand that because he played a brilliant knock under very challenging circumstances. A big salute to Klaasen for his knock, and a double salute for the apology. South Africans are not arrogant; they are very good people,” the 40-year-old concluded.
