Amid the escalating tension, Zainab left India, citing personal reasons. Meanwhile, in response to the controversy surrounding Zainab and her departure, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, issued a statement to address the situation.

Pakistan’s foreign office responds
Mumtaz expressed deep regret regarding filing a legal case against Zainab and strongly criticized the Indian government for what she deemed an “unwarranted” controversy surrounding the ICC presenter.
“The case against Zainab Abbas on unnecessary tweets is not appropriate. Zainab is being dragged into an unjustified case,” Mumtaz🎃 said when asked about the issue during the weekly press🐼 briefing.
It’s worth noting that an Indian lawyer named Vineet Jindal took legal action by appro🔜aching the police, requesting the formal registration of a complaint against Zainab. T▨he lawyer alleged that she had made statements perceived as critical of India and Hinduism, prompting the initiation of a legal process.
