Rohit Sharma’s resilient knock guide India to a fighting total
Asked to bat first, India’s innings was a mix of commendable performances and some early hiccups. Opening batsman Rohit Sharma displayed exceptional form, scoring 87 runs off 101 balls with ten fours and three sixes. His partnership with KL Rahul (39 runs off 58) laid a strong foundation for India’s total. Suryakumar Yadav (49 runs off 47) also contributed significantly.
However, England’s bowlers, led by David Willey (3 wickets for 45 runs), Chris Woakes (2 wickets for 33 runs), and Adil Rashid (2 wickets for 35 runs), managed to peg back India in the middle overs. India f♑inished th𝕴eir innings at 229/9 after 50 overs.

India bowlers wreak havoc in England camp
In response, England had a tough task ahead of them, chasing 230 runs to win on a tough pitch. They encountered early troubles as India’s bowlers were relentless. Jasprit Bumrah was the star of the show for India, taking 3 wickets for 32 runs, followed by Mohammed Shami‘s incredible spell of 4 wickets for 22 runs. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja also contributed with the ball.
England’s batters, despite their efforts, struggled to build partnerships. Liam Livingstone top-scored with 27 runs off 46 balls. England was ultimately bowled out for just 129 runs in 34.5 overs, handing India a convincing vicꦦtory.
In the end, India’s exceptional performance, both with the bat and ball, led them to a resounding 100-run victory over England, earning them the top spot in the points table and marking their sixth consecutive victory in the tournament.

Is this the greatest ODIꦑ b💖owling attack India have ever had? If not then they can’t be too far from it. Funny how the “greatest” in sport is often only spoken of retrospectively or has often to do with something or someone who has come and gone

Chasing 230, with dew around, it had to be England's game. But such is their descent in this tournament that they never looked like getting these. It is an astonishing dismantling of a very good white ball team.
