In an exciting encounter at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, England faced Sri Lanka in the 25th match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The Islanders displayed outstanding cri��cke♓t and defeated England by 8 wickets.

Disciplined bowling restrict England at a low score

The toss went in England’s favor, and they elected to bat, setting the stage for a challenging contest. England’s top-order batters put up a decent start, with Jonny Bairstow and Dawid Malan contributing 30 and 28 runs, respectively.

Sri Lanka convincingly chased down the target, securing a crucial victory by 8 wickets. Nissanka and Samarawickrama’s stellar performances with the bat, along with some effective bowling from the Sri Lankan side, were the key factors in this victory.
