Karan’s responded with a sense of uncertainty and caution, indicating that he would be delighted to host them, considering their stature as national icons and celebrated figures. However, he expressed apprehension due to past experiences, hinting at a potential reluctance from cricketers to accept his invitation.
“Will they come? I don’t know. (laughs) I’m not sure. I would love to have them. They are national icons and celebrated illustrious personalities,” said Karan.
He added: “But I think with what happened last time, I’m not sure they will even take my call. I’m scared to even call, and I’m such a big fan and have so much respect in my heart. I don’t want to be rejected.”

Karan’s hesitation stemmed from the aftermath of an episode from the sixth season that featured Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul. The duo’s appearance on the show triggered a significant controversy, with Hardik’s comments drawing severe criticism for being perceived as crass and derogatory towards women.

Also, Hardik and Rahul were sent separate suspension notes by the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) on behalf of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the༺ir misconduct on the chat show Koffee With Karan.
