The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has unveiled the highly anticipated Central Contract offers for England Men’s international cricket, covering the period from October 1, 2023. These contracts, which encompass both red-ball and white-ball players, are designed to gauge the likelihood of players representing England across various formats in the upcoming year, taking into account their performance in the previous year.
Introduction of multi-year contracts
In a significant development, multi-year contra🦹cts have been introduced for the first time since the inception of central contracts in 2000. The ECB has worked closely with the Professional Cricketers’ Association and the Team England Player Partnership to ensure a mutually benefic🍸ial outcome for all parties involved.
In total, 29 players have been extended Central Contract offers, which can be broken down into 18 England Multi-Year Cent🅷ral Contracts, eight England Annual Central Contracts, and three England Development Contracts.
