Zainab Abbas, a well-known sports presenter from Pakistan, has been in legal trouble due to some of her past social media posts. Included in the ICC’s list of presenters for the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023 🐻in India, her previous online activities have been scrutinised.
On Thursday (October 5), Vineet Jindal, a lawyer practising in the Supreme Court of India, filed a cyber complaint against Zainab. This legal action was taken after alleged old posts from the 35-year-old’s X (formerly Twitter) account, which were perceived as “anti-Hindu” and “anti-India,” went viral on social media.
The lawyer alleged that these offensive tweets, believed to have been posted approximately nine years ago, were originally shared using the username “Zainablovesrk.” It is worth noting that Zainab has updated her X account to “ZAbbas Official,” and this account remains her active profile.
