New Zealand scripted history with their emphatic win against Bangladesh in the second One-Day Internati♏onal (ODI). The Black Caps won the contest by 89 runs and registered their first win against the Tige💯rs since 2008.

Tom Blundell powers New Zealand to respectable total

Batting first, New Zealand faced a tough challenge against the Bangladeshi bowlers. While they struggled for consistency, they managed to post a total of 254 in their allotted 50 overs. The early wickets of Finn Allen and Will Young put New Zealand under pressure, but🎃 they managed to stabilize the innings.

Henry Nicholls contributed well 49 runs off 61 balls, including six boundaries. However, Tom Blundell played a stunning knock. His crucial innings of 68 runs off 66 balls, featuring six fours and a six, made a vital contribution to New Zealand’s total.

Tamim Iqbal provided some hope with his innings of 44 runs off 58 balls, featuring seven boundaries. Mahmudullah anchored the innings, scoring 49 runs off 76 balls, including four fours and a six. However, the Bangladeshi batters struggled to build partnerships, and New Zealand’s bowlers maintained a consistent line and length to keep the pressure on.

Sodhi was the star with the ball for New Zealand, as he picked up six crucial wickets for just 39 runs in his 10-over spell. Kyle Jamieson supported him with two wickets, while Lockie Ferguson and Cole McConchie also made vit⛦al contributions. In the end, New Zealand emerged victorious, defeating Bangladesh by 86 runs.
